 A slight breeze danced lazily around the city plaza, possessively curling itself around its occupants, and bringing a slight relief from the bright sun that had peeked it way out of the clouds.
Balthier sat, idly adjusting the cuffs of his sleeves, watching the many people coming and going. Leaning back on the bench he had claimed his own he watched a pair of birds weave in and out of one of the carefully placed trees. ‘What a boring day…’
((Balthier might be a tad OoC from in the games. ;3 Just a heads up.))

A sigh escaped the lips of a teenage Poneko as she wandered through the plaza, her hands carrying a few shopping bags that swung back and forth as she walked along. Her owner had requested that she went out shopping and purchase some items for the house, along with objects she would like. So far, Hikari had not come across any item to her liking, but she had seen the most adorable little plushie the other day...
Her eyes browsed the store windows, searching for the shop. Where could it be? They began to wander off into the shop windows, taking close observations for it...her eyes were no longer paying attention to the road. Suddenly, as her foot came in contact with a rock, Hikari felt herself falling forward, her shopping bags flying in front of her. Bam.
She fell. Hikari blinked once, twice, before uttering a low whisper. "Owwww..."

Bam
Frowning Balthier sat up slightly; his eyes landing on the young poneko sprawled across the pavement, shopping bags in much the same state. His eyebrow rose slightly as passerby’s seemed to not even notice her fall, or rather, didn’t care to help. A quiet sigh escaped him as he heaved himself up from the bench. He paused long enough to pick up one of the bags, which had made its way farthest away from the girl.
“Hey, you ok there? Should learn to watch where you’re going.” Crouching; he tugged gently on her scarf “A bit hot to be wearing one of these don’t you think?” Smiling disarmingly he reached out a hand towards her in an attempt to help her up.

Hikari winced at the pain that had errupted in her knees. Perhaps it was scraped? Even if it was, she'd have some bandaids inside one of the bags... She strained to look up, trying to search for somebody to help her. However, anyone who was walking by merely passed her as if she wasn't there. Sighing, Hikari began to try and pull herself into a proper sitting position.
Suddenly, she stopped as she noticed a figure approaching her. It was another Poneko, and he was coming her way. Perhaps he had notice her fall? She was glad that somebody had seen; trying to pull herself up would probably take too much energy from her weak body.
"Hey, you ok there? Should learn to watch where you're going." Hikari watched him crouch down near her, before looking at him with curiousity when he tugged on her scarf. "I'm okay; thanks. And the scarf's... perfectly fine. It's not too hot under there..." When he extended his hand, Hikari took it and made an attempt to pull herself up. When she was sure she could stand properly, she picked up one of the bags. "I'm Hikari."

Once he had her hand firmly in his grasp he pulled gently, his hand lingering a bit longer until she had found her baring. “Nice to meet you. The names Balthier,” lips turned upward slightly in a smile. “Well then Hikari, would you like some help carrying all these?” He lifted the bag he had picked up earlier for emphasis. Not waiting for an answer he began picking up the few items that had found there way outside their bags during Hikari’s fall.

"Nice to meet you, Balthier." A smile appeared on Hikari's face. A new friend. "Thanks..." She picked up the remaining bags that she had dropped, and straightened herself up. "So, Balthier," she began, speaking out of boredom. "What are you doing here?" Hikari scanned the floor, aware of any rocks that were out to trip her. Ah, her owner would be quite upset if any of the items broke...

Balthier couldn’t help the deep chuckle that escaped him as he watched Hikari check her every step for rocks. “Ah, well, you know,” He made a slight gesture with his hand. “Just wasting time.” Grinning he gave Hikari a sidelong look “If I had know I was going to run into such a beautiful young lady I would have dressed up.” Though that was a lie, Balthier made sure to look his best every second of the day. He had convinced himself that it was simply out of habit. “Was there anything else you needed to pick up?” He asked, glancing about the store windows.

Wasting time...hm. Well, he probably didn't have anything to do anywhere else... Hikari felt herself blush as she heard Balthier's statement. Beautiful? No...she had heard only a few people tell her that - a cute little poneko, and her owner... "T-thanks," she muttered, trying to shift her attention away from her thoughts. "Well, I'm looking for a specific shop...they had the most cutest plushie on display the other day...then I'm heading to the bakery to pick up a few last things..."

“You’re quite welcome,” Balthier replied happily, seemingly missing Hikari’s slight stutter. “Plushies, hm?” Balthier peered into one of the glass windows, squinting to see inside the tinted glass. Pulling away from the display he turned back towards Hikari, “Well, I’m afraid I cant be of much help there,” He grinned “But I wouldn’t mind keeping you company, and as a thank you, you’ll have to let me treat you to some lunch later.”

Hikari smiled as she browsed through the shops. Hmm, everything was becoming familiar now that she saw it. "Yeah," she muttered in response to Balthier. "That's okay. Hm, I think that's the shop..." She examined the sign, and gave a nod, before entering the shop and looking for her desired plushie. "Thanks...but I couldn't possibly waste your money. It's okay; I can get lunch with my own money." She bent down and took a look at a black kitten plushie, before picking it up gently and cuddling it, signalling that she had found what she had been looking for. Hikari began to make her way to the counter, her hand fishing her bag for some gold to pay with.

Shiva walked casually through the plaza, passing many shops , she entered many stores, being kicked out for touching expensive things, in one ocasison chased out by a cranky old man with a cane. "Yikes! Humans are mean creatures, all i was doing was touching there 'Pink Pearl' necklace, i mean its not like its some sort of priceless piece of human pop culture or something...." She grumbled.
She continued to Grumble until she passed a shop, she took a few shop back and look though the window seeíng a handsome poneko. "Why hello there... Mr. Yummypants." She said to herself before giggling. She entered the shop and put on a small. "Good day." She said as she stood next to the male and held out her hand for him to shake.
