It's an anime I just recently stumbled upon, not yet released in America (and I doubt that it will ever be). It's based in a Japanese music conservatory, tracking this perfectionist violinist/pianist who strives to be a conductor and this messy girl who plays virtuostic piano solely by ear that claims him to be her boyfriend/husband.
Going to a conservatory myself, I find the cliche's of music society to be strangely accurate, and I am constantly giggling at the little things that only musicians can understand. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this anime and wishes to comment.
If interested, this series is available by torrent on animesuki.net.

Oh! I've seen this anime! In fact, I'm watching it now! (how ironic...)
So far, I really like it. I'm usually a shonen anime fan - "Eyeshield 21", "Hajime no Ippo", "Bleach", that sort. But lately I've been found I'm tired of them, so I switched to a 'domestic' romance-y type. And so far, I'm really liking it.
The characters are really sound - Chiaki and Nodame in particular, you can feel their personalities easily and sympathize, laugh with them, and really forget your own problems for a while. The art is really pretty too (I'm a stickler for art - if it's not pretty, I won't watch it), and has a natural feel to it (other than the exaggerated expressions, which are just crack), movement and clothing-wise. And of course, the music...
Ah, the music. I've played piano for a long time, so I enjoy classical music, and when I watched the first and second episode...it was as if every part of me gave a sigh and was like, "Ah...a break from all that hard rock and Japanese pop music..." I didn't realize how much I missed classical until I started watching Nodame. Daaang, it's so good! I heard there's a manga for it too, but I also heard the anime's better (dunno if anyone's done scanlations...). Dunno about that. Who's your fav character, lurkindarkness? Mine is my fav - he's not really bad at playing (at least not after Chiaki whips him into shape), but he's just...a pacifier between the 2 girls. The relationships in Nodame are just crack, seriously. The fighting-over-Chiaki episode...man, that made me laugh so *hard*...
