This is, simply put, the description of your character. It has no real effect on the game world, but it's nice to know who's behind the 2d6 points of greatsword damage.
There are three portions to your character's description: -Alignment -Appearance -Personality Quirks
Alignment Alignment operates on two axes: Law-Chaos, and Good-Evil. Those of you who have played Neverwinter Nights will know this system fairly well.
Lawful characters play by the rules; they take oaths, hold steady jobs, make regular donations to the church.
Chaotic characters live their own way; they may steal, they're prone to wanderlust, and they may "forget" to pay the tab at the inn.
Good characters have high moral standards; they don't kill innocent people, they don't throw fireballs into crowds, and they most certainly don't work with undead, demons, devils, or other unwholesome creatures.
Evil characters have few moral guidelines; they are tyrants, assassins, poisoners, murderers, and quite often monsters in general.
Neutral characters fall somewhere in between the poles; They can be neutral-good/evil, or lawful/chaotic-neutral, or simply true neutral.
Appearance All characters need to look like something. Height, weight, eye and hair color, possibly skin tone, and any noticable features. Keep in mind that small characters rangr from 2'6" to 3'6" in height.
"RPC" pictures are allowed, but may not be any larger then 500x500 pixels, must be approved by SlyFoxMan or myself before posting, and MUST BE USED WITH THE ARTIST'S PERMISSION. Use of other people's art is illegal, against the Gaia ToS, and I take it as a personal slight; illegal pictures will be removed.
Personality Quirks Characters often have interesting quirks: one mgiht flip a coin, one might squint, one might be excessively profane. The possibilities are nearly endless.
