  Lots of them!

  Yes it did.

  Yes it... Oh, never mind.

What is a cafe without a good garden? What sort of plants should we grow in the courtyard? Or inside?

what could be more natural, or useful, than herbs!

i love a nice herb garden, and they smell good too.

many have attractive small blossoms (and some flowers, like marigolds, can be eaten, or used as seasoning!)

so that would be a start.

Hmm. Columbines, roses, hollihocks (however that's spelled, I can't remember)... I can't remember any names of other flowers that I like. There were these really nice fall flowers that I was into for a while, but I can't for the life of me remember the name.

marigolds are hardy through October up here
some have glossy bronze tipped leaves
gladiolus can keep their spikes bloooming through September

as far a fall flowers go

i am growing some lemon pips!

i planted them in January, put them in the airing cupboard for a month, and when i took them out!!....nothing sad

i thought i'd left the seeds unplanted for too long and they'd dried up. so i put the pot on the side in the kitchen and forgot about it, a couple of weeks ago i decided to plant something else in it, so i took the plastic bag off the top and look what i saw!!

they have grown quite a bit in 2 weeks though, they were half that size when i first revealed them, so you can have some lemon trees in the courtyard if you're willing to wait a couple of years for them to get a bit bigger cool

One thing I think every garden should have: Jasmine. It smells so nice. I forgot about it before, but I walked past some the other day.

The aloe vera pot at work jumped off it's stand the other day (it had really overgrown it's pot and was very very top heavy) - so I repotted into numerous pots (like about 10) so here is couple of them.

I normally kill aloe vera so I am really impressed that this one kept growing after I took over the plants at work. Meanwhile every aloe vera I have at home has died - so someone please volunteer to water them??

I also love to see potted iris's so am adding some of them to the cart headed here.

Ohhh and don't forget some gardenia's......

and maybe a poinsetta or two ... they are soo pretty as they bloom on out thru the year.

*looks at cart, rolls eyes and sighs - there I go again proving my husband right - you just can't take me anywhere.....

Aloe vera seem to like *not* being watered.

yep, if you keep aloe vera in a place where water is splashed around, like a kitchen or bathroom, it usually does fine without a lot of direct watering.

and it's handing for kitchen burn injuries too.
