okay.....sum1 please explain to me why sum ppl think that shes a grunge rocker?? stare Her music is pop and a lil bit rockish. She sucks at being a singer anyway....... rolleyes

I've never heard anyone call her grunge. Punk, but not grunge. I think remember seeing somewhere that she or someone else said she was the female version of Johnny Rotten and when asked what she thought about that, she had no idea who the man was.
But in this world, unfortuantly image tells a lot more than the music nowadays. I haven't seen her live or anything, but she doesn't suck as a singer. She may not be your or my style but to say she sucks (Based off of what I heard from her music videos.) is a little overboard. You want a sucky singer? Look no further than Kurt Cobain.

yes, kurt has a terrible singing voice, but there's something raw and edgy about it that gives me shivers. 3nodding it's unique.
as for avril lavigne, I've never heard her called grunge as well. punk yes, *shudders* but never grunge.
but if I had, I can assure you the perpetrator would have gotten a swift kick in the shins. domokun

Heh, I agree. Although live he tends to have more of a southern twang in his voice. I dig that. Not great vocals, but vocals that fit.
