There is actually a class entitled: Why Buffy is important that is held on numerous college campuses.
What is the curriculum? The importance of Buffy as a model of the world today.
What important themes, symbols, or observations do you have about BTVS that can be applied to the world in general?
If you have any here is the place to post.

The underlying theme of Love in Buffy.
Buffy as a show exemplifies that love cannot always be easily determined, and how love is a messy thing.
Anyone have any examples for this theme?

I guess no one is interested in having an intellectual dialogue about the themes of the show.
Too much like work, I bet.

I wish my college had a class like that. I would pass every assignment in there. I mean, who wouldn't want 2 watch Buffy for school? Too bad not all of us are so lucky. Grrrr. Some kids have all the fun. Though I can't believe some colleges made a class out of it, but im not complaining. Just in awe.

That would be such an immense course to do... Well the obvious theme that Buffy could present is the conflict between good and evil, surely?

Or what the line between good and evil is and if it's pervasive of a life.
BtVS has asked the question a few times, does someone who has done bad things deserve a second chance?

I wish I could take that class. Buffy's character is definitely important...at the time of soppy dramas, with stereo typical girl next door female characters Buffy emerged and a new breed of women were born. The show was monumental.
