The time has come to purchase a new subforum (as if fourteen wasn't enough), and the mods are all out of ideas so we're taking suggestions. Post any ideas you may have in this thread, and when there are enough suggestions, we'll make a poll for everyone to vote on. Sound good? Great, keep the ideas coming!

Hm.
I'd suggest one called Foreign Lands, where someone could roleplay being in another *RL* country... Yet that's pretty much covered in the Natural, I suppose...
Yet again, Foreign Lands could cover every genre, just being set in an already-created country.
Or some shiz.

For roleplays, everything would be covered between the Fandom and Original subforums. And yes, discussion could be in Natural. It seems like we already have a subforum to cover each topic in, but there must be something we're overlooking. Then again, there might not be.

Rants - Many Guilds I am in have "Random Rant" forums where you can just sorta let out your personal opinions on life/politics/something... COULD go in debate as most of them will become debates, knowing us, but some of them might not be - and some of them might just be filters.
Polls - we could use it as a sort of "Mini Poll Guild" as poll guilds are always fun.. essentially just a chatterbox, but it can evolve into essentially ANYTHING else, so long as you have a poll, and you change the poll every once and a while...
Parties - Okay, not many guilds have these, but they are fun anyway. Essentially, it's where you have a subforum that nobody posts in unless they reserve it for a specific day/week to do so for some event (holiday, usually - but we can alter it).
Gaming - *clicks tongue* Well... TCG, Board Games, stuff like that doesn't really seem to have a specified forum.
OOC - like Barton OOC Can feel the purest of love <<

The Party one seems a bit of a stretch. Sounds like it'd mean deleting posts, etc. constantly. In my picky tastes, I like baggage and seeing posts from months/years ago. xD
The Poll and Rants ones seem more realistic and seemingly more coverable.
I love ranting. And taking polls. xD

Great ideas, Alex. See? I knew there was something.
While many rants could just go in with debates, perhaps we could use it more as a 'real-life situation' deal. People could type out their rants, and others could provide helpful suggestions. I've seen those in guilds before.
A subforum for polls is a great idea. Sort of like casual discussion, but earning gold as we do so.
The party concept confuses me a bit... It seems a bit harder to manage than the others, and most holiday/celebration announcements just go in... announcements.
A subforum for TCGs and board games could work, but perhaps we should wait on that one, since there aren't really that many things to include in there as of now.
I do like the OOC idea. We could make a thread for each roleplay and discuss plots, events, characters, or anything else to that effect. Knowing us, pairings between our own characters would be included as well.

(a) polls is really just a chatterbox with polls, technically we have a chatterbox....

It might get confusing to have the OOC threads right in there with the roleplays. Or at least, it would for me.
That's true, though. We could just use the Chatterbox for polls, but at the rate this guild has gold coming in, might as well use the idea to make a new subforum.

Well, since we have a place where you can classify yourself as a semi. literate +, maybe there should be a forum where others can classify you if you're unsure?

So then, would that make the gaming subforum a place for sports discussion? *slight frown* You might as well just have that in the Chatterbox I think. I mean, if you noticed that in the Chatterbox a lot of people were making threads about sport then sure, that'd be a good idea, but I don't think they are.
A writing guild that I'm in, Deus Ex Machina, came up with an idea for an inter-guild trading card game. That sort of died down for a while, but it's an idea, albeit an ambitious one.
My favourites out of the ideas listed are the Gaming and OOC subforums. But you also need to have a look and see whether a lot of people are already making OOC threads. If they are, then an OOC subforum might be good. If they're not, well, having one might encourage them to make OOC threads, which would make the subforum worthwhile too. Or it might not.
I'm just kinda talking myself round in circles here. But you get the idea. sweatdrop
