Has anybody ever tried it? What are your thoughts on the matter?
For me, I'm not sure if it counts or not, but I did carve a star into my ankle when I was in middle school on purpose to make it scar, but its mostly healed since then. Thinking of putting something else there to hide the little traces I have. Plus, I also think scarification is really cool.
Anybody here have any or know of any experiences with it?

I haven't tried it and I am not really looking forward to doing so. I used to want to get the word breathe scarred on my wrist, but... I just never got to it 'cause I was too scared, mainly after I found out how it was done, so... no scarification for me, but... I've seen some people who have tried it with pretty spiffy designs and it looks pretty amazing, I'm just... well... I get scared out of things easily. D:

MonosodiumGlutamate It's no different from tattooing. I was going to say. Any sort of modification is mutilation, in someway.

I think it's pretty rad, but then again... you're cutting into your body and removing pieces of yourself. But then, it's for aesthetic purposes. I DUNNO. I'm pretty confused with the idea. Ghoulie--Pretty true.

`dagon I definately plan to get some skin removal with a scapel done. And I'd like to do some strike branding too. I've always thought branding was cool... I had a friend who did it, but it wasn't professionaly done. Obviously looked like s**t. But I don't know if I could handle that... being burned is like the worst feeling ever.

If you get the temp right it's not supposed to hurt as much for as long I hear... http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Branding

I keep thinking of burning my hand on the toaster at work, and how that would feel all over my body... xd But the link kind of quelled my fears. Not that I'm really all that scared of pain, but I can't imagine the throbbing sensation you get after a bad burn being over a large proportion of my body.
