Which talent do you think would be the most useful to the world in real life?
I think Empathy...it'd not only be useful to be able to know what emotions were behind someone's words (because emotions can't lie), but also to be able to project what you're feeling to others. It'd make a lot of the world's confusing arguments...less confusing blaugh
Which talent would you like to possess for yourself?
Personally I'd like teknoguilding, though. The ability to manipulate inanimate objects without knowing how they are supposed to be used would be fantastic. Teknoguilding is supposed to incorporate telekinesis (however weak it is), and that'd be mighty useful in my line of work (tech support, computer based, etc).
What would you pick and which do you think would benefit the world most?

(To the poll - Damn I was gonna vote teknoguilding but i thought everyone would think me a loony whee )
MOST USEFUL: Would probably be Coercing. I mean, the power to manipulate heaps of people - with a group of coercers, hundreds! Imagine the chaos it would cause if one of the politicians was a coercer! Get the entire country to go to war!
Talent I would like to posess: Teknoguilding or Coercion.

I'd want beastspeaking, but it'd be so depressing. x_x
Empathy and coercing come a close second. XD But I bet empathy isn't all it's cracked up to be either, you'd get overwhelmed and lonely sometimes when you're not with your own empathetic people. Why do you think the empathy guild is so close to each other?
And people can lie about their emotions to a point if they manage to convince themselves as well. Or stop others from sensing it.
But yea, I agree that coercing is useful. Scary and useful!

To a point they could, sure, but it takes a lot of energy to mask your emotions from displaying externally, imagine the effort it'd take to convince yourself you were feeling something that you weren't...and then, if they didn't quite manage it, you'd get the feeling of mistrust or something, right? I agree on the overwhelming/lonely front...but I still think it'd make life easier in the long run blaugh

Hmm...I think I would most like Farseeking.
I hate calling people, I'm always afraid that I'll dial the wrong number. So this would be really good if there's something I need to tell someone. I know quite a lot of people couldn't live without their mobiles but I personally can't stand mine. (That's just me though...I'm a little bit old fashioned razz )
I would also most like Beast speaking. It would hugely help my riding if I could ask the horse to do what I wanted and then strike a bargain or ask him where he would most like to be brushed. OOH! That would be really cute! And I could have conversations with my cat and dog and the birds around school so I don't have to listen in class (that would be where farseeking would come in handy- I could talk to animals further away!)
