So me, Engel, and Kris have decided that we would begin holding contests! Yay prizes! Anyway, I am willing to donate a good portion of my gold, and the other mods can throw in a bit of gold too, but if any of you would like to make a donation, I will keep track of them right here in this subforum. Every gold piece and item counts - and they will all be used in a contest somewhere along the line. You may send them to the mule account "Descent into Oblivion"

Tek tek contests are popular. Art contests are fun.
Since this is a roleplay guild ye should run a contest dealing with the such.
You could have a Creative Character Contest (C.C.C) Basically, it could go in many ways. You could have a certain type of character (you chose the race, or setting) and have those entering make up a character, that goes by the rules set up.
eg: If you say, the setting is, Futuristic, people would have to make a character that would go with the futuristic plotline. It's good practice for those who want to learn how to create characters on the spot, if they don't already.
Or, make a list of twenty words where each entry must use every word in the profile of their character. There are no limits, no restriction, the only rule would be to use every single word, and bold it.
Those are just my suggestions.

oh alex, you know how i said id donate 3000 gold to you whenever i had it? would you prefer i donate it towards the contests fund? cuz i can if you'd rather it go there than towards your questings.

I really like the idea of a character contest like kotou suggested. The first kind, where you have to come up with a character to fit the setting. Maybe you could make it so that whatever character wins that contest, is then the subject for the Tektek contest.

We were mostly collecting the daily chance items; bugs, trash, and the like. Gold is always greatly appreciated~
Was there anything else you had in mind?

Depending on which rp's are doing well, we could doa poll for favorite character with an art contest for that character. Or fan art of the guild mascot for banners and things once it's decided upon.
I have to go fora bit now. The fam wants me back and hiding to use the internet only goes for so long. I'll be on tomorrow if I can manage it. Do we have a lost of USA east coasters on here?
