I discovered a thread that was discussing a new law/program being implemented in the UK. I hadn't really heard anything about this before (I am more or less isolated from news media, even when I have the time to look at such things) and found it of great interest. http://www.nooutsiders.sunderland.ac.uk/I think its a good idea. I wondered what everyone else thought about this program? Esp. those of you in GB who will be most affected by this legislation.

Sounds like a good idea. The US is behind the times on this one. People are still outraged about anything of the sort being taught at all, lest it "convert" their children to homosexuality.

I agree completely. I'm afraid I can't really add much to what you just stated. But I will say that I think its very foolish not to teach our children in schools and such what it is. If they get the wrong idea about what it is, then they will make assumptions. And that leads to bigotry and overall "homophobic" sentiments.

I hope this succeeds in Britain, and perhaps it will slowly leak across the Atlantic and reach us in the US. 3nodding

Being a part of the LGBT community, I can honestly say that this is an astounding idea, and seriously needs to be addressed in the US...(Although at the same time, I believe that everyone's alittle behind on subjects such as this...It's a step in the right direction.)

That's an absoloutley awesome idea. I've also heard of something else called the gay-straight alliance. Though, I don't know weather or not it includes bisexual, pansexual, and transgender people, though it should.
