Section 2.) 'training Posts'
training. no matter what happens, this stays the same. but heres how it works in Anthelos... Training here is anything that pushes your limits of your chosen career path. though you might find a soldier practicing religious routes, that will not further a career as a soldier. training only counts when you do it for your chosen path-- So no, no matter how long of a post you make, farming will not make you a better soldier. and no quick posts either. it must be at least two paragraphs (4-7 sentences) and must push you to learn! so there will be no, 'James hacked at a dummy for two hours, gaining prowess and strength along the way.' Now, I want to see something along the lines of this; ' Ragus finished tying the knot on the rope to the tree. He looked around him to the other seven trees that had rope tied tightly around them to absorb shock. he smiled. now his training would begin. He pulled his fist back and began striking the tree. going slowly, he paced himself, working up to greater speeds. eventually he was a flying mass of hands and feet, striking all round him, tree after tree. he jumped into the air and split kicked two trees, sticking himself between them. he sat in this position for nearly two hours, meditating quietly, until his legs gave out from duress. he fell and hit his head on a rock, bruising it and nearly knocking him unconscious. he groaned and tried to get up, but his legs wouldn't hear it. Rest! they cried, and slowly and sullenly, Ragus Obliged. '
Things like that is what I need to see. now, how Will I track this, you ask? Well, you know you're rank and path followed. so, simply put the amount of posts out of how many you need at the bottom, after putting the word *Training* at the bottom. for example, say you were a farmhand in the path of the gods... you would put,
' ...and sullenly, Ragus obliged.
*Training* 1/10, one nation visited. '
Basically, put at the bottom of every training post what you need to go to the next level. when you have enough to get to the next level, simply PM me or a guild mule, and he/she will upgrade you in your profile once we get the message. if we dont change it within three days, PM another different person, and it will be changed. also, some other things will count as training. this includes battles, single combat, and other things pertaining to that subject. for instance, it would be considered training for one who follows the domestic path to wiggle out of a heavy debt, but not for a soldier.

Section 3.) Path of the gods, Explained
To get the approval of a certain god, ONE god, you must make a public show of worship and/or service to said god, and they must accept it. you also must talk over with them what to do, what not to do, and what they want you to do.
To go through 'dungeons', you must go to the realm of the damned, and roll dice to fight monsters. major monsters are rather difficult, rare, and deadly monsters, such as minotaurs and etc. on this point, let your mind wander and come up with good Ideas. but one note on this-- you MUST, and I mean MUST make the battle challenging and long, more than four paragraphs in length. noone said that this guild would be easy. that also counts to your training count as a post. further blessings are powers or artifacts bestowed to you by your god.

Section 4.) Path of the soldier, Explained
The Idea of squires might seem odd at first, but if you like to write and want to be in higher status with your king, then go for the squire. in order to do this, you must find someone ranked soldier or above to be apprenticed to, and help them and do as they say, which counts as training if its big enough, like helping them in battle. if they deem you worthy enough, and after you fill the prerequisites. in addition to getting the rank faster, you also get the companionship and brotherhood of a mentor/student relationship, and you can learn a bit about RPing in general. that, and the soldier benefits too. a king is more likely to look upon the man who has trained new recruits for him than the man who has not to be promoted. Honorific awards are explained later, but they are given to a soldier or other by a man of a higher rank for deeds done on the battle. note that some awards can be gained only once.

Section 5.)the way of the domestic, Explained
Now, this may seem confusing, as not many people, apparently, would do it. But it offers variety, for people who dont like always ongoing violence, and prefer to run a shop, or smithy, or a school. Now, as a son/daughter, you are still learning what you want to be. once you know, and have practiced it, you can become an apprentice to a merchant. you dont need to like what the merchant does-- but this will simply give you experience to be one, and the partnership between you and your master. once you become a minor merchant, you can sell goods. now you work for a big company until you have enough training posts to go on, and then you can do what you want, whether it be a smith, a teacher, or a trader.

Section 6.) Way of religion, Explained
you might see 'Stays at church' and 'has no church'. this is very important. Missionaries are traveling monks who preach the words of thier god(s) to chosen people. though they dont serve in a church and are more freelance, they do allow you to travel and not be hindered by the laws set down by churches. so you dont need to take a 'vow of silence' or 'vow of chastity' unless your god requires it. Prophets may follow the same rule, but Cardinals cannot, though they may have up to three churches in their jurisdiction. there is only one pope/vatican, and he is the supreme ruler of the church heirarchy. all major decisions must go through him, or the accused faces charges of heresy and treachery. the pope is picked by me from amongst the twenty cardinals. some of it is based on character personality, and other bits are based off of posting, activeness, and general attitude and helpfulness.

Section 7.) "Battle points". What are they?
Battle points is what players rate their battle prowess on. partially for bragging rights, anyone can gain this simply by fighting in battles larger than a hundred people on each side. though for some branches, battle points are needed to advance. At the end of every battle, I or one of the mules rate how large scale the battle was, and each person's posting and success rate, and then points given as sought fit. so a person who did very well in combat and excelled themselves and lived would get more battle points. those who did poorly and or died would receive little. note- Extra battle points given for slaying an enemy leader, based on who or what he/she is
there is five Scales of battles- Class 1- Skirmish These are between forces ranging from 100-599 people, and dont tend to be that long, except in the cases of sieges. you gain 10 points for participating in these. you can gain more points by doing other things of worthy note.
Class 2- Minor battle These are small border clashes that range from 600-1999 troops, and usually last for several hours. this is usually an excursion to destroy an important part of the enemies' territory, or to lay siege to a larger fortress. you can gain 20 Battle points for participating and living through the events on either side.
Class 3- Battle These are pre-planned attacks into enemy territory, usually with conquest in mind, either of a small portion or all of a nation. they usually consist of 2000-10,000 troops, usually with much tactical deployment and much bloodshed. these have been known to last several days, except in sieges, where it lasts for months. You may gain 60 battle points for being in this and living to see the end.
Class 4- Invasion These are massive, long drawn out assaults that are also known as 'Campaigns'. they involve many battles of many sizes, and are usually consisting of 10,000 men to almost a million. this WILL result in the destruction and conquering of a nation, if not repelled. this is worth 125 battle points if you see it through to the end and live.
Class 5- Genocide (World war) These are simply epic. They consist of either one or more nations that wish to rule Anthelos, but they must have a purpose! and the support of a god. in this battle, even some gods will fight among mortals, and possibly die. the world will be ravaged as one attempts to rule Anthelos, but if they succeed, the rewards will be great indeed. and if the ruler of one nation does succeed, he has one of three options... 1.) Remain king over a peaceful land and try to enter a new golden age 2.) Become a god and let the four kingdoms begin again 3.) ???? (I know what this is, but I will only tell you if you choose it and stick with it.) If anyone sees these through to the end, whether successful or not, will gain 500 battle points. but they must LIVE to see its end, or in some cases, Anthelos's greatest sagas and new beginnings. the king of the conquering nation, if he succeeds, will gain 1000 battle points.

Section 8.) Power levels, and what they are
Power points, put simply, are dice roll modifications. this is done to make things more 'realistic', so a greenhorn cant kill a general too easily. to do it, take the person with the lower power level and subtract the lower from the higher. IE a level 5 is fighting a level 20. 20-5=15. add 15 to the power level 20's dice score. this should provide a good push to help the stronger one win the battle. though this may seem unfair, it is legit. however, it is still entirely possible to kill a higher level one if luck is on your side...
If they are evenly matched, then roll a d20. higher results win, but you must beat your opponent by two, if you dont, its a draw, and you write the scene as equals. if you do beat your opponent, then write the appropriate victory story.

Section 9.) Honorific awards
The bloody heart- Given to those who suffered grievous wounds during the course of a battle. the receiver is usually missing a limb or eye.
The olive branch- Given to those whose battles ended relatively painlessly, and who forced the leaders to give up and were merciful in acceptance.
The Tacticus Almighty- The receiver was a leader that displayed a great amount of tactical thinking that won the battle, such as pitting a small force against a larger force and winning through tactical means.
The badge of courage- The receiver displayed an almighty show of courage in deeds, by doing something extremely valorous and heroic, whether it be slaying of hundreds or stalling the enemy with a defensive line. many times this is awarded posthumously.
The cloak of legends- this is awarded to the greatest hero in the nation after he or she did something to save the nation.
The gift of life-A truly great hero earns this. he or she received this from Angstrom himself by committing a great act of self sacrifice, usually giving their life for a loved one or for a great cause.
The wild beast- One receives this by doing a great act of blood lust. One could receive it for destroying an entire village on his/her own or by slaying over a thousand men.
The lord of all Anthelos- One gets this for ruling over all of Anthelos, no matter the duration.
The great conquerer- one receives this By conquering a nation or more and living to see it.
Ascendance to godhood- Given to mortals who become gods. given to them by Angstrom.
The lord of all-The only way to receive this award is to defeat the one who has it. you lose it if you're defeated and die. more to come soon!
