I thought it would be interesting to ask anyone who is writing:
Your writing topic at the moment? How did you come up with your idea? What inspired you to take it farther? And what was the first thing you approached once you had your idea (designed characters first, plot, etc.)?

First of all, I agree with Tatsu; Windy-san, you're an intriguing person..
Anyway, here I go:
Writing topic: My personal verion of what will happen to the world as technology (particularly bioengineering) continues to advance... Okay, I added a fantasy/alternate universe twist sweatdrop (I was referrgin to my story, TRotU)
How I came up with it: Pondering on my life, what was to become of the world, and the like. I only turned to writing about it due to a strange urge to make my own views heard. Along the way, I came across good material for a story.
What inspired me to take it further: Lack of time, and a determination to hone my writing skills.
What I first approached: The idea of life, death, sin, and redemption. The teen angst/love comedy was an afterthought sweatdrop
