I was trolling around wikipedia the other day, and found a page about a couple of Sherlock Hollmes computer games. They were called The Curese of the Silver EWarring and The Awakening.

Has anybody heard of them?
I wonder what a Sherlock Holmes game would be like... I suppose if it was well done it might be good... Any thoughts?

Never heard of those.
There were a couple made for the Sega CD game system though & I got the 1st one. It was called "Sherlock Holmes, Consulting Detective" & had several cases in it. You went out & did footwork, visiting crime scenes, collecting clues, interviewing witnesses & suspects, etc. & then tried to solve the case. Holmes would let you know if you were right or wrong.
It was one of the early games made with live-action filmed scenes instead of animation.

The Curse of the Silver Earring is really good. It was challenging and had really nice graphics. The Mystery of the Mummy was my favorite Holmes game, though. It was downright spooky... whee

The other day in Wal-Mart I saw a Sherlock Holmes PC game for $20 & I think it was the Awakening--it said on the back of the box that it had something to do with Cthulhu. I didn't buy it because I didn't want to spend the money right now, & I'd like to find out if it's any good first too.
So, has anybody seen this one? If it's at ONE Wal-Mart....

The Silver Earring is GREAT. I played it, it's pretty lengthy too(atleast it was for me) so i think you'd enjoy quite well. It's the only one I've played though sad .

My brother was watching X-Play while I was in the room reading, and they started reviewing a SH game for the PC. I wrestled the remote away from him to watch it. Think it'd be a very neat thing to have. But I don't remember the name of it since my brother retaliated in the end, punched me, and ran off with the remote.

Dang! I don't have a gaming system, so I'd definitely buy anything for PC. ~goes to google~

Mystery of the Mummy, The Awakened, Nemesis, I have 'em all. Save Silver Earring, but I wanna get that.

It's nowhere! D:

I've only been able to play two of the above, though. D:

But they are very good, from what I've seen. I, myself, love them and am trying to update my PC so I can play them.

So Silver Earring apparently came out in '04. It's old, so it's not surprisng that no one's got it. Since I'm looking for it myself, I'll let you know if it pops up anywhere.

Mystery of the Mummy's actually two years older than Silver Earring.

How odd... That one's not difficult to find at all.
