Kind of useless word
Even if you see someone typing it, it doesn't necessarely mean they're laughing ^^;
It could also mean
Llamas offering lottery
or
Lisa's over loaded? ._.; vatevah..

I use "lol" a lot.

Most of the time I'm not laughing but I do think that whatever was said was funny or something. Or, I'll use it when laughing at myself.

"lol" is annoying.
I use "haha".

Sometimes when I'm ACTUALLY laughing, I write, "Actually laughs out loud".

Haha doesn't work... because it can have like a thousand meanings... D:<

Haha = Haha. I thought that was funny.
Haha = Haha. That was so funny (sacasm)

Lol usually sums it up for me when I think something is funny without having to sound sacastic.

I've found myself using 'lol' quite often now. Before it would be a rare occurence but I use 'lol' if something has made me literally smile. I use emoticons if I do not use lol, lol. xD
