With tall buildings and deep subways, the city is where all the action is. with many stores and resturants to chose from the city is always busy with humans going about thier daily, or nightly affairs.

Silently Seraphina glided through the air, her movements seeming effortless despite the weight that lay upon her heart. In a single motion she swooped to the ground, stepping out of mid-air onto the damp ground below.
She was on the outskirts of the city, a place that seemed to be long forgotten by the cities inhabitants. The remains of a long-burnt out building loomed before her, and even though the building was nothing back a blackened carcus one could feel the history that lingered here.
Raising her eyes to rest upon the building, she made her way slowly toward it, her heart seeming to grow heavier with every step. Gently she moved the door from her path, a groan of protest rising forth from the long disused door. The full moon hanging high in the sky cast silvery beams through the many holes that littered the roof, illuminating her path. Even without them she would have known where to go. Her feet carried her to the room at the back of the house, where it seemed the moon fell directly upon the place they had shared so often - the remains of the bed seemed to sit in the brightest patch of moonlight.
Seraphina had come to say goodbye to her lost love, hoping that it would help to ease the pain that she had carried since she had heard word of his death. Slowly she moved forward, as tears began to fall from her eyes. Her lower lips began to tremble as she was overcome by grief, and anguished cry passing her lips as she sank to her knees.

He had followed her from below, having made his way back to the palace after the nights earlier events. Instinctivily he had known were she was headed, and when he had lost sight of her, he had still continued toward toward the burnt building. Quietly he slipped down the long disused path, the motorbike he had ridden here concealed behind some bushes rather back up the path.
His cloaked figure was all but invisible as he watched her enter the building, his emerald eyes darkening with a mix of sorrow and longing. As the darkness swallowed the petite figure before him, he crept forward, slipping though the now open door. He moved to linger in the door behind her, leaning his frame against to door.
A wrenching pain tore through his heart as a cry tore from her throat, and he had to fight back the urge to run to her in that moment. He continued to watch her for a moment longer, before he decided to speak. His voice was rougher then she would have last remembered it to be, not to mention his hair being shorter then before. "It does not do one well to so hold onto the past" his voice spoke from the darkness.

His emerald eyes stared straight back into hers, although the darkness of the hood of his cloak ensured that she did not see that. She also would not have seen the smile that tugged at the corner of his lips as he fought the urge to caress her face. Even after three hundred years she hadn't changed much, she was still as fiery as he remembered although she now possessed a darkness he had never seen in her before.
"I know what it is like to grieve" he replied, his tone serious and his voice strong, "and I admit that I know what it is - who is is that you grieve for". Worry tore through him then, wondering how she would react to what he had said. Above all else however he was worried about what she would think of him now that he was what he was - a vampire.
His expression was unwavering as he moved to lean against the charred doorframe. Unknowingly a stray moonbeam passed across his chest, illuminating the silver pendant that hung around his neck.

As she listened to his words her guard increased ten-fold. Who was this vampire and how did he seem to know so much about what she was grieving for? Her expression hardened as she watched him, at a loss as to what to say. She had never been confronted by a creature such as this, and had never expected to find one who knew so much about her. "How do you know what is it that causes my grief?" she asked, her voice almost replicating an animalistic growl.
Instinctivly her hand tensed around the staff she held, readying herself to use more persausive methods should she deem them needed. The silver glint of something around his neck caught her eye, causing long forgotten memories to flood to the surface. In a single swift movement she released the blades within her staff and had them pressed to his throat. "Who are you?" she growled, applying more pressure to her weapon.

He couldn't help but smile, even as the blade was pressed against his throat. "I am flattered that that staff is still getting so much use" he replied, his voice lightening to resemble the voice that she would sure to remember. Extending his hands out to his sides, bent at the elbows in the fashion that was often used by criminals when they were surrendering. Once he was satisfied that she understood his intentions he reached to the front of his hood. Inhaling sharply, he drew back the darkened hood, his head lowered as the material fell against the back of his neck. Sighing he gathered the courage to turn his emerald eyes to her, preparing himself for the questions that would follow, and perhaps her revulsion at what he now was.
Ever so slowly he raised his head, before his emerald eyes were gazing directly into her sapphire ones. "Hello Seras" he said, smiling at the famaliar nature of the name, one that he hadn't used in quite some time.

Seraphina's eyes widened, the staff that had been pressed to his throat tumbling to the ground. A single pale hand moved to cover her mouth, although the path it moved was a shakey one. Tears began to trickle from her eyes as the realisation that this wasn't a dream dawned upon her as her mouth opened and closed beneath her hand as she struggled for something to say. Her sapphire eyes moved slowly over his frame, taking in every detail of the body she had once known so well. His skin was far paler then she remembered, but having been without sun for what must be nearly three hunred years it was little surprise. His eyes still held the same magnetic pull that had drawn her to him in the first place, and her sapphire eyes spent much time looking back into his.
Her eyes moved from his after what seemed like an eternity, moving to his deep chocolate locks, which had once rested about his shoulders. Removing her hand from about her mouth, she reached toward his hair, her fingers lingering above it. "You cut your hair" she managed to say, a embrassed smile tugging at the corner of her lips.

He continued to smile back at her, his smile growing wider as no instant revulsion came his way. Gently he moved his head so that it reated against her palm, his eyes closing as a tingle spread from where her skin touched his. As he had once done centuries ago, he laced his arm around her waist gently pulling her into a familiar embrace. Having her so close after so many years was almost to overwhelming, the scent of her skin and the the feeling of her hair as it brushed across his skin. "I missed you, more then I could stand" he whispered into her ear, as he laced his fingers through the hand that was resting against his hair.

She smiled into his shoulder as he embraced her, leaning into him. Even after so many years without him, she didn't find it at all odd that the most simple of acts still held the same power they once had. The breathe of his words against her ear sent a shiver down her spine. It mattered little to her what he had now become, although she was relived that having taken control of the celestial coven meant that her relationship with Logan was no longer forbidden. Her unoccupied arm arm moved to rest at the base of his neck. "Why didn't you tell me?" she asked, and even though she tried to hold some anger in her tone it failed miserably.

" now isnt this touching ... a vampire and a celestial ... Awwww how cute" a deep and hauntinly familier voice comes from the darkness. the man who attacked Seraphina at the orphanage was sitting on top of a beam from the ruined house. his hands clasped together and held up against his face. " its so touching." he laughs rather loudly. it was becoming quite apparent the he was at least half demon.

Seraphina quickly released Logan, although it was the last thing that she wanted to do. In the same movement that she turned to face the assailant she tucked her foot beneath the staff that had fallen to the ground and kicked it into her waiting hands. Her sapphire eyes moved to rest upon the man, nothing back anger glaring at him. "What do you want?" she growled at the creature, movng instinctivly infront of Logan like she had many times before. Even though he was now able to defend himself, she still felt the overwhelming urge to protect him.

Seraphina moved to the side, her eyes glowering at the man before her. "Answer the question" she fired back, gripping her staff tighter, "what are you doing here?". Inwardly she cringed, having been subconciously aware that she had been slipping back into old habits. Mentally she reminded herself to apologise for her error later, but for the moment she was more concerned with the demon before her. "What do you want?" she repeated again, getting rather impatient.
