Ahh... Peace, at last. The striped light Wyrmess stretched out her wings to their full extent, the only thought in her head: relaxation. Her brown eyes scanned up and down the beach, before settling down near the tide line.
She watched the tide pull in and push back, bringing with it shells and occasionally the small creature with it. Abeni nestled her body into the sand, folding her wings against the ridge of her back.

The little orangish brown and purple Fire-Wind cross Tarhn looked out in awe over the vast ocean. He had never been there before, and he had no idea it would be so magnificent. He 'croo-ed' as he reached the shoreline, the salty water rushing over his tail. Tahrn flickered his smaller set of wings, very much enjoying the spray it made.
He looked around the beach and noticed the adult Light Wyrm basking. Tahrn knew that some adults were not friendly, but this one looked quite calm. Crrrooo? He called as he aproached her cauiously.

Abeni's attention snapped towards a soft sound, one she hadn't heard before. Her gaze landed on a Fire/Wind cross Hatchling, and a flicker of a smile crossed her face. He seemed a little afraid to directly approach her. "Hello. Who're you?"

Tahrn brightened up when the Light Wyrm smiled at him. "Taahh... hrrrn. Tahrrn." He did his best to answer, his speech was improving but still had many flaws. So far he could say the names of his family, but other than that he could use but croos and craws.
"Craw crroo?" He gestured to her with his wing, trying to ask her name in return.

A look of confusion swept over Abeni's face. She blinked momentariily, before a smile crossed her features again. "So, you name is Tahrn? My name is Abeni."
Her eyes flickered out to sea once again, before down at the Hatchling. Wow, did he brighten up quickly. "What are you doing here?"

Tahrn nodded, glad that she could understand him at least a little bit. Though how was he supposed to tell her that he was exploring the world around him? Oh who was he kidding, Tahrn wanted to play. The little hybrid held up a wing as if to say 'Wait', and then slithered back into the water. Tahrn then began to splash about in a playful manner, he hoped that would get the message across.

Light brown eyes followed the Wyrmling, from his spot on the sand till he was in the water. Her head tilted in a canine-like fashion as she picked herself up carefully from the sand. Abeni slowly moved herself closer to the water, watching Tahrn the whole time.
"So, you wanna play?" She asked softly, a smile working it's way slowly onto her features.

Tahrn nodded and flicked a little water at Abeni. He would very much like to play, as most hatchlings would. He went a little further into the water, careful not to go so far as to wet his larger set of wings. The sand felt weird on his belly, and he looked down to see if he could see anything interesting on the surface of the sand. But alas, the water had rushed shoreward and kicked up the sand making it too murky to see through.

A soft giggle rose in her throut as she watched the Wyrm. The water lapping at her ankles felt rather nice, despite the fact she knew the salt would take forever to get out. Abeni unfurled a wing, letting it dip into the water. She moved it forward, sending a small splash towards Tahrn.
