This is a dragon team I've been working on for awhile. They even have a little back story to go along with them.
(Claire) Cartrige (FireRed)
Party 1: #006, Charizard, LV 70 2: #330, Flygon, LV 80 3: #130, Gyarados, LV 55 4: #230, Kingdra, LV 45 5: #149, Dragonite, LV 58 6: #334, Altaria, LV 60
Charizard Ability: Blaze Move1: Flamethrower Move2: Blast Burn Move3: Fly Move4: Metal Claw Charizard was my starter. He was in my team from Pallet Town all the way through the Elite Four. He barely barely pulled off a victory in the Elite Four by being my last remaining Pokemon with 5 HP and was up against a Blastoise.
Flygon Ablity: Levitate Move1: Dragonbreath Move2: Earthquake Move3: Crunch Move4: Hyper Beam I caught Flygon as a Shadow Vibrava. While I was purifying him, he teamed up with Tyranitar's Sand Stream ability for protection and extra damage.
Gyarados Ability: Intimidate Move1: Hydro Pump Move2: Surf Move3: Flamethrower Move4: Hyper Beam Gyarados was caught in the Safari Zone early on in my quest but wasn't trained until after the Elite Four. Since he was a Magikarp when he was caught, I had to do a lot of switch training before he was able to fight on his own (switch training puts the weak Pokemon up first then switch it for a stronger one right away, works even better with the Experience Share).
Kingdra Ability: Swift Swim Move1: Hydro Pump Move2: Dragonbreath Move3: Ice Beam Move4: Hyper Beam Kingdra is the second most special member of the team. He is the only one that wasn't caught but was bred instead. He was created from a female Horsea that I snatched out of a river and the team's very own Altaria. He inherited the Dragonbreath attack from his father.
Dragonite Ability: Inner Focus Move1: Safeguard Move2: Wing Attack Move3: Dragon Claw Move4: Hyper Beam No dragon team can ever be complete without a Dragonite. It was the first actual dragon-type and, for awhile, the only one of its kind. This particular Dragonite protects the team with Safeguard before blasting away with his Hyper Beam.
Altaria Ability: Natural Cure Move1: Dragonbreath Move2: Fly Move3: Safeguard Move4: Sky Attack Altaria is akin to Flygon as it was captured as a Shadow Swablu. He is more of a support fighter for the team, protecting the others from status conditions with Safeguard and healing itself with his ability. He is the same Altaria used to breed a Horsea that became the Kingdra of this team.
A fact unrelated to my team: It's possible to use only Pokemon that are immune from Sandstorm (ground, rock, and steel types) and still be an effective team. There are Pokemon with one of those three types that have a secondary type that trumps every other type except for normal.

Jamie Cartrige: Pearl
Party 1: #429, Mismagius, Nagi, LV 67 2: #484, Palkia, LV 67 3: #395, Empoleon, Zeo, LV 68 4: #491, Darkrai, LV 68 5: #485, Heatran, LV 75 6: #487, Giratina, LV 77
Nagi Ability: Levitate Move1: Confuse Ray Move2: Shadow Ball Move3: Thunderbolt Move4: Psychic Nagi was the first ghost pokemon i caught and it just kind of grew on me. i named it after one of my favorite manga/anime characters. Nagi, Palkia, And Zeo were the only 3 pokemon that fought the elite four the first on my first attempt and they struggled through for a victory on the second try.
Palkia Ability: Pressure Move1: Draco Meteor Move2: Ancient Power Move3: Dragon Claw Move4: Spacial Rend I use palkia because i'm a bit of a legendary hunter in a sense. my first goal in any pokemon game is to catch all the legendary pokemon asap. i kinda liked how palkia looked and the fact that it had very few weakneses.Nagi, Palkia, And Zeo were the only 3 pokemon that fought the elite four the first on my first attempt and they struggled through for a victory on the second try.
Zeo Ability: Torrent Move1: Surf Move2: Hydro Pump Move3: Avalanche Move4: Hydro Cannon Zeo is my starter. He's named after my friend's rp character who is a water/ice master. Nagi, Palkia, And Zeo were the only 3 pokemon that fought the elite four the first on my first attempt and they struggled through for a victory on the second try.
Darkrai Ability: Bad Dreams Move1: Dream Eater Move2: Shadow Claw Move3: Nightmare Move4: Dark Void I got Darkrai from a friend who action replayed it on to his game at lv 2. he wanted a dark pokemon that could fight the elite four but was too lazy to train it himself. He knew i was crazy about legendary pokemon and said i could have it if i raised it high enough to be able to survive the elite four in 2 days. i had it at lv 50 at the end of day one. I like Darkrai for two main reasons other than it being legendary. It's looks and it's ability to shrep apart even the toughest pokemon.
Heatran Ability: Flash Fire Move1: Lava Plume Move2: Earth Power Move3: Iron Head Move4: Crunch Reatran is my best and only combat worth fire pokemon(other than my blazieken i pulled off saphire). I kind of think that Heatran looks like a potatoe but i was nice enough not to name it something that would be a joke on them.
Giratina Ability: Pressure Move1: Shadow Force Move2: Fly Move3: Ominous Wind Move4: Dragon Claw You say there's a Ghost legendary? You say there's A Dragon legendary? They're the same pokemon?! Giratina's just plain cool. it had realy good defense and has a ton of health. real handy for long battles.

Empoleon Lvl.60 Ampharos Lvl.60 Mismagius Lvl.60 Pidgeot Lvl.60 Roserade Lvl.60 Erlade Lvl.60 Togekiss Lvl.60
I try to even out my Poke'mon by a level... And I feel like I dont need a Poke'mon. I'm still perfecting it by migration and trading. I have to catch them all. Already did in Emerald Version.

Good. I'm guessing the Haunter is for handling Psychics, which could take out 3 of your pokemon out. One question, what would you do against a Quagsire/Swampert?
