Lesson 1:
The greatest of all tacticians, was most likely Alexander the Great. He was able to conquer insurmountable odds with his superior battle strategies. Ceading him past the roman times, is the Chinese general Sun Wu. Sun Wu commanded great armies, defeating many odds. He wrote "The Art of War" over 2000 years ago, the culmination of his accomplishments.
Every battle, every war ever started, had calculated battle plans behind it. Strategy is the ultimate offense in battle.
Lesson 2:
To know how to strategize, you must know your opponents weaknesses and strengths. You first must study their exterior, their environment, they way they move and the way they act. When you gather all information on them, you analyze it, looking for weakpoints and strengths. When found, you must utilize their weakness in your advantage and use their strengths against them.
Lesson 3:
Planning attacks is the simple part. The attacker must formulate a plan, accounting in his weaknesses and strengths as well as his opponents. Attacks should be planned out in advance, as to be implemented later on in battle.
Lesson 4:
Different formations can be used in battle. Take for example the Phalinx, a Greek battle formation of a 9 man by 9 man square, fortified with shields and 20ft long spears. Any formation can be used, depending on the amount of people on a team. Two or less people, calls for formations, that utilize covering the front and sides of the teams. Three to four man teams, must utilize protecting all sides, while mainting an offense. More than four man teams, must formulate a formation, that will prove fortified with defense and offense, for there are enough members, to protect all.
Lesson 5:
The terrain of the battlefield can be both helpful or crippling. During WWII the russians used their harsh winters to their advantage, to drive back the Germans, who were not expecting the cold. Use the battleground to your advantage. Look it over, time your attacks with the weather and its patters, make sure that you are fully in tune with your surroundings.
Lesson 6:
Many unexpected changes happen during the heat of battle. All changes and movements of your opponent should be calculated in before battle. If a certain unaccounted change is made, quick eyes and a quicker mind can simply take care of that. Sharpen your eyes and mind, for they are the most essential tools a ninja can have.
Lesson 7:
Spies are very useful in a strategy. They can attain information valuable to your opponents plan of attack and their weaknesses. Spies open up another whole world of information to a strategist.
