I've said it before, and I'll repeat it. It depends on your definition of villain. If a villain is someone that gets in the way of your playable characters; yes, then, Saturos & Co. are villains. If a villain is someone who deliberately does evil things; no, it's not true. They were fighting to save the lives of their people. What they were trying to accomplish, as far as their knowledge went, was the only way to save Weyard from destruction.
And if you call them villains, in a way, you call Isaac and his bunch villains. In the end, they made the same mistake.

Shadow_Of_Dark_Destiny I simply think of them as antagonists, not villans. That's a good way to put it, because the main charecter is not aways the hero or the hero we think they are. Isaac and co. didn't know all the facts and thought that Saturos and Menardi were trying to cause harm to Weyard while they were really trying to save it. They only knew that lighting the beacons could destroy them all. They didn't know that, even though it was a dangerous choice, it was their only hope. They just simply didn't have all the facts.

Well, they 'were' the villians in the first GS, but in the second they were part of the heroes.
You see, in the first GS we were lead to believe that lighting the four lighthouses was very bad. Therefore, it was the 'heroes' motive. Because we didn't have that littleeeeee bit of info about it saving the world, THEN they are the villians. It's basically knowing and not knowing...

More adversaries than villains. Or Antagonists, as said earlier. They sure acted like they were evil and you were good, though.
