Okay it is slightly cheesy and is still in it's first draft so please don't judge it too badly. Story is called Jadella and the Rockstar, here goes nothing.
-------------------------------
Jadella Westly was, in a word, misunderstood. Her friends thought she was overly nice, strangers thought she was a freak, and everyone else didn't think of her at all. Green streaked black hair that flows to her mid back, pierced nose, lip, and eyebrow, and her ever changing eye color caused her to be vastly second guessed. Both of her parents had died in a car crash the day she turned seventeen, so she stayed alone in their house living off her clothing designs and a social security check.
"Hey Jadella, will you work for me tomorrow?" Her coworker Jake, dirty blonde hair, medium height, skinny, always in ripped jeans and a band t-shirt, asked at Hot Topic, her place of work, as he sat on the checkout counter.
"Sure, might I ask why?" She replied from her spot halfway across the store folding shirts for a display.
Dealing himself a new game of solitare since there was literally nobody at the stiore he spoke boredly, "Amanda and I are going to spend the day together then go see Shock Lock in concert up in Duluth tomorrow night. I won tickets and backstage passes from 93X." Shock Lock was a very popular rock band, and 93X was the best rock station in Minnesota.
"Lucky, I tried so hard to win tickets. Just my luck that you get to go and I'm stuck working." Jadella hopped up onto the counter after finishing the display. "Speed?"
"Of course!" Jake took the cards and began to shuffle them, then he delt out the game of speed. Two cards are placed in the middle of the playing area side by side, on the outside of them are two stacks of 5 cards. The rest of the cards are split between the two players who are trying to be the first to get rid of their cards by placing a card one higher or one lower than a card in the middle.
"So all this with Amanda is for your six month aniversery, right?" She asked as he delt the cards.
"Wait it's our aniversery tomorrow?" As Jadella nodded he began to freak out, "Great now she's gonna expect something huge and all I have are concert tickets."
Jadella laughed a bit at the freak out, it was one of his cuter looks. "Just take her to Build-A-Bear, knowing Amanda she'd love it."
His eyes widened, "that's a great idea, you're the best Delz." He then fliped over the cards and the game of speed began.
After what seemed like forever Jadella slaped the two piles in the middle, "SPEED!!!!!" She had won.
"You're getting to good at this. Never would've guesed I taught you this only two months ago." He shuffled the deck.
As he did this, Jadella walked outside the store and did a cartwheel. At the sight of the 'goth girl' doing a cartwheel many people turned their heads and watched as she completed it perfectly.
"You turkey." Jake laughed as she walked back, "Great you're actually making me work." They both turned as people began to enter the store. Half of them looking around with disgusted looks at the clothing and items. He got off the the counter and looked like he was doing something.
"Hey, can I help you with anything?" Jadella asked a boy her age, knowing who he was already.
The boy was her best friend and was very muscular, had shaggy dark brown hair, and stood half a foot taller than Jadella. "Actually Miss, if you could find me a boyfriend that would be great." He was openly gay, but unless you were close to him you would never know.
"Aaron you know I can't do that but if you wanted to add color to your hair I could do that." She showed him a thing of neon purple dye.
Aaron suddenly wrapped his arms around her, "This is perfect!" He liftered her off the ground with ease and spun her in a circle. "Thank you!!!"
Jadella pushed her way out of his arms, and back onto the ground. "What did we say about when I'm working...?"
"I don't bother you." He resembled a sad puppy with the way he looked at her right then.
"Very good!" She handed the hair dye to him with a smile, "Here you go."
"So Della, how about you and me go see Shock Lock tomorrow?" He held out a front row ticket for her.
Her smile faded as she looked through posters, trying to get her gaze away from the ticket. "I work tomorrow for Jake... I can't, sorry."
"Well in that case I'll try and get you an autograph of the drummer you love so much." He watched over her shoulder.
She laughed, "You always did think his preppy look was tacky, he could use a makeover."
"Seriously you should do it, you did wonders on me." Aaron started posing, causing Jadella to laugh hysterically.
"I guess you're right, I could do it." She looked at her watch, "Oh sweet I'm off shift now. Wanna go home? I'll dye your hair." Jadella walked over to the checkout counter.
"Yeah, your place. My parents are in an argument about whose fault it is that I'm gay again." He said with sad eyes. One of the things Aaron hated is that his parents used his sexuality as a way to get at each other's throats.
"I hate when they do that, it's so stupid. They just need to get over themselves." Jadella said giving Jake they dye. Afther purchasing the hair dye the two said goodbye to Jake and left off towards Jadella's house.
