Our favorite chocobo-head and the main conflict between Aeris and Tifa, CLOUD STRIFE, the mental wreck/emo kid!
We all know Cloud's story. He grew up in Nibelheim and knew Tifa as a child. After Tifa is comatosed, Cloud is driven to become stronger and impress her only to be thrown into a world of suffering in which we know as the story of Final Fantasy VII.
Cloud Strife
Age: 21 in FFVII
Height: 5'7'' and suddenly turns 5'8'' in FFVII: AC. xd
Born: August 19
Occupation: Ex-SOLDIER, Mercenary, hero, Delivery boy, etc...

I think he's really emo, but I still love him >>
Although, Squall's more emo than him o.o //oops, getting off topic//
...anyway... Gah, I can't think of what else to say D;

Cloud's personality is complicated, so it's hard to really love him and to really hate him. xd Personally, I love him, from his cocky attitude to his shy, emo character. He's so vulnerable and innocent and at the same time a little perverted and violent. (Wow, he's full of contradictions isn't he?)

Only character I can't stand. Self centered, overly dramatic, whiny beyond all reason. I mean, he's got a job to do, he's got no time for bitching
at least Squall tried to use his team and kept on task...

I've never really LIKED Cloud. He's such an oxymoron.

By the way, a common misconseption is that Cloud joined SOLDIER to impress Tifa. It wasn't just to impress her. It was so that he would finally be accepted as something in his town [and to show off how cool he was] because he was the outcast of his town.

I really like looking at characters through the stand point as if I was their therapist. I like picking appart their brains. Which is why I LOVE Tifa and Aeris so much. I've been picking their brains appart for about nine years now and I'm still finding new things.
Cloud was my third favorite character until I hit a point of... "there's nothing new here". I still like Cloud and still find him interesting (much more than Squall xp ) but I've come across nothing new or revolutionary about him for a long time now. So he's been bumped down to sixth favorite. Still like him... still like discussing him... just not as I used to.

Though, impressing Tifa was more important to him. When Cloud and Tifa were in the lifestream, Cloud said, "I was devasted, I wanted to be noticed." Tifa said, "Noticed? By who?" (or something to that extent) Cloud says, "Who? You, that's who!" So, numba one reason he wanted to join was to impress the girl of his dreams. xd Cuuuuuute.
