This is my first Shoujo-ai story, so go easy on me. ._.;;;
I sat at my desk, working on a project for school. How annoying. It wasn't something I wanted to do, but it was due tomorrow and I had just started it this morning.
"Faith! C'mon!" My little sister was calling me.
"Not now, Jaimie! I'm busy," I called back to her. I could here her stomping down the stairs, so I went back to work.
Almost done, I thought. "Yes!" I saved my work and printed it out. I smiled to myself. Despite my mother's consistent nagging and my little sister annyoing me, I managed to finish my project.
"And it's only..." I looked at the clock. "11:00!?" I shut down the computer, put my assignment in my bag then got dressed in my pajamas and crawled into my nice warm bed.
The morning crept up fast. The annoying buzzing sound of my alarm clock woke me with a start. I hit it to shut it up, sat up and stretched, rubbed my black cat ear, then got out of bed. What a nice nap.
I got dressed and grabbed my things and headed out for school. Tenth grade had been, no, is a pain in my--
"Faith!"
I turned and saw an orange-haired girl with white cat ears and a white tail.
Phoenix.
I smiled as she came up to me. She returned my smile.
"Hey, Phoenix," I said shyly.
"Hey. How are you?" She hugged me. I couldn't help the blush that flowed onto my cheeks.
"I'm good." My heart started racing. My ears went down as I felt a wave of embarrassment rush through me.
Phoenix giggled. "That's good." Her tail swayed as we started walking to class.
Phoenix was such a lovely girl. Her gray eyes held so much brightness in them and she was always happy and...she's just wonderful. No wonder so many guys, and me, wanted to date her. But she dudn't know I liked her, which I thought was best.
We sat down next to each other like we do all the time in class. And lunch. And on the bus. Wow, time flew by quickly today. At least I did good on my project...
Wait, why's she coming on my bus? She doesn't live on any stop around here.
"Phoenix?" She looked at me, a smile on her face. I surpressed the butterflies in my stomach. "Why're you on my bus?"
"I asked if I could come over, remember? I'm sleeping over." She held up her bag of clothes as she said the last statement.
Blush made its way onto my cheeks. I can't believe I forgot. "Oh yeah. I'm sorry, I forgot." I looked at my lap.
She giggled, "S'okay."
We got off the bus when it reached my stop and headed into the house. All afternoon, all we did was hang out, watch movies, play video games, talked. It felt so...normal.
"Alright, I'm dropping Jaimie off at her friend's house, then I'm off for my date," my mom called as she rushed back and forth to make sure she had everything.
"okay." I smiled.
They left soon after, and me and Phoenix were all alone in the house now. What should we do? I thought. I was about to turn my head to ask what she wanted to do now, but she kissed me on the cheek.
I could feel my cheeks burn up. I looked at her, stunned.
She giggled. "You're so cute, Faith." She stroked my hair and smiled gently.
I looked away, turning another shade of red. "W-what was the kiss for?" I started crumpling up my blue skirt in my fists.
She took one of my hands in both of hers and smiled. "You're my friend," she whispered as she leaned closer. My ears were down from embarrassment again. "You mean a lot to me." She put one of her hands on the side of my face so I could look at her.
I leaned in closer to her, close enough to feel her breath on my face. I turned my upper body toward her, placing one of my hands on her side. I leaned closer and kissed her lips softly. Her lips felt so soft under mine. I leaned closer, wanting more.
She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed back, just as softly as I was kissing her.
Before I knew it, the kiss was over.
I llooked at her, her cheeks were red. "Phoenix," I started to say, but she kissed me again, deeper than the first time. She leaned herself against me and I wrapped my arms around her waist.
Our tongues met and our breaths came out in gasps.
"Faith," she whispered my name as our lips parted and she ran kisses along my neck.
My God, this woman could kiss.
We were laying on the couch; she was ontop of me. She smiled down at me and stroked my cheek. I held her close to my body, enjoying her warmth. I traced the line of her skirt on her lower back slightly.
"I love you, Phoenix." It was only a soft whisper, but she nodded and replie to me with another deep kiss.
We snuggled for a while before heading off to my room and sleeping next to each other.
It was a wonderful Friday, the best day I've ever had.
"Hey, Faith?" Phoenix spoke softly in the dark.
"Hmm?" I looked up at her face, the dim light from the moon shining on her.
"Happy birthday." She kissed my forehead gently.
Even in the dark I could see her smile. I had forgotten all about my birthday. But I decided, she's my favorite gift of all.
