Everyone has an opinion on this, and it raises a great deal of contrevery, yes? So... what do you think? Hop to it, and let there be much debating. And all that jazz.

Ok, Severus Snape is totally fighting the good battle. It's not even something that should be debated. I mean, all the evidence has been pulled out of the books that proves that Severus was loyal to the Order and only killed Dumbledore on Albus's instructions.

Exactly. Finora Lupin took the word's out of my...er...fingers. Of course, had I posted, it would have been rather lengthy and far too confusing, even to myself. Severus, obviously, is on the side of the good. He simply acted on Dumbledore's orders, regardless of what he, Severus, wanted to do.

Lol, Phantom (can I call you that?), I too would've been much lengthier than that but I was having a lazy day. Unfortunately, those come often for me. Today is another one of my notorious lazy days. Eventually, a day will come when I want to back-up my opinion with all the evidence given but... not today.
Maybe tomorrow. -_-

well, not to start a riot but I think Snape is only looking out for his own good. Sure he killed Dumbledore on Dumbly's orders but it had to have benefited him in someway. I don't think he's completely evil but he's not the Order's poster boy.

Snape is totally on the good side. I agree completely with Finora and Phantom. He got his life out of killing Dumbledore. If he hadn't, Draco would have been killed, and therefore Snape would have as well.

He's good. Or at least on the side that would most likely keep him alive.
Actually Lianara both Snape and Draco would die if Dumbledore wasn't killed, Snape because of the vow with Narcissa and Draco for not doing what he was told to do by the Dark Lord.

I think that's what she said...
But, I bet Snape has a huge role in the next book. I mean, if Snape wasn't really all that important, than would Dumbledore have died so easily? That or Dumbledore didn't want Draco to die because Draco has a large role in the next book. Or because he knew that his death would motivate Harry further to kill Voldemort... whatever.
BUt, Snape is totally fighting the good battle. Still haven't gotten out of this lazy slump so the sixth book still has yet to be read so I can find said evidence. ^^;

I think Snape is in it for his best interests. If he thinks he can survive with Voldy then there you are.
It's so hard to type when the keyboard is moving.
If my point makes no sense feel free to ignore it. Not in my right mind.

Quote: Dumbledore didn't want Draco to die because Draco has a large role in the next book Yeah, that's what he's concerned about, the plot of Deathly Hallows. Sorry... Anyways, because I realize I haven't put my input into this... I'm more or less 100% convinced that Severus is on the 'good' side. That is, on the side of the Order. Killed Dumbles on his orders, as much as to protect Draco and Narcissa. I swear, I will go find my proof. Eventually.

Well, all the characters subconsciously know that they are in a book. razz Dumble foresaw what will happen in the seventh book and said, "Dear Merlin, I gotta die!"

Keyboard isn't moving anymore. That does not imply I'll make sense though.
Why can't Snape be working for his best intersets? From what I've seen Snape appears loyal to both sides, giving them both enough information to shut them the hell up, so if he were smart - which in no way am I insinuating he's not - he would wait it out and claim loyalty to the winning side.
I dunno... It's the most logical solution for his situation.
Oh, and just because we don't think he's on the "bad side" doesn't mean J.K. agrees. She IS crazy.
