Kirk, they kicked Dave for a reason, and I do believe Kirk proved himself even in the early days even though many disagree.

it is strictly my opinon. although hes done well for himself outside metallica with megadeth and all, but isnt it know that megadeth are number 2??

I'm almost sure I love Metallica more than anyone in this forum and I do beleive he is very much good enough for metallica. He is insane. He's awsome. Kirk has more fun that is why you say so. Dave is more of a party guy and kirk is a shy one. Or is now. Dave might be better, or not. The call of ktulu was in ride the lightning and omfg best solo song out of the 80's albums. Dave written Hangar 18 and that has alot of solos. Very beutiful guitar sounds. Don't be saying that. He is great. But So is kirk. I barily like Megadeth and I said this. You know it's so true. Dave was in Metallica so it's like don't like them. My opinion, they are both good. But I know alot way better than them Look up Yngwie Malmsteen. He is the best guitarist ever. Makes Jimi look like a todler in guitaring.

i do get what you're saying.
and i love metallica don't get me wrong, i PERSONALLY just prefer kirk to Dave. But he has done is fair share of good work.
I Love Hanger 18 by Megadeth so i cant say I dislike Mustaine, an I've said, i just PREFER kirk.
its the same thing i say about cliff vs jason, i give them both their dues but i feel cliff was better (RIP Cliff) I'll give dave snaps for what he has done, is doing and will do.
its all music, i love it all either way. I'll listen to metallica in the mustaine days as much as i'll listen to them without dave.

I think for metallica kirk is a better choice but if i had a metal band id choose Dave over kirk becaise Dave is way more metal than kirk hense the Blues jazz semi solo album due out in a year or so
