Are you devoted to the Harbringers of Destiny?
I am the servant of the Gods, the Harbringers of Destiny is the true path.
The old ways are cruel and immoral. The Elite cannot harbor surch cruel ways.
It is foolish to stick to the olden ways. The Crimson Rogues shall lead in the future.

Not much is known about the headquarters of the Harbringers of Destiny. Many have searched the harsh cliffs and many have not returned... Some say that they live inside the mountains. Only those who are members of the Harbringers of Destiny can find the hidden city it is only reached through portals in which you must whisper a certain word.

Bram leaned easily against the entrance as soon as it sealed up behind him. While the safety of the Harbringers headquarters was very pleasing, sometimes a gamer had to go hunting for practice- as well as treasure. Perhaps he could take out some yeti or even a Needlewolf. Etok the tracker, and NPC who he admired against all logic, called out to him, bringing up a store inventory.

"I have many fine deals for hunting, surviving a blizzard, and navigating your way through this place- a gorgeous wasteland, no?" He said with a thick accent. Bram purchased a compass, a furr coat, flint, steel, oil, and some firewood before setting out. He quickly came to a crag full of needle wolves, who's fur was so sharp it could wear away stone if they threw themselves at it fiercely enough. He crouched in hiding.

Ishara rubbed her blood-shot eyes as she leaned back into a rather ornate chair. For some time now she had been pouring over books, papers, anything she could get her hands on. She had no idea if any of the information she picked up would be useful or not, but she thought it couldn't hurt. Her stiff back and sore body said otherwise. Stretching out her back, she stood up and left the stone room and made her way through several corridors till she came to on of the portals that led outside of the headquarters. A few minutes later she was outside on the snow-covered mountains tops, the wind whirling all around.

Ishara knelt down onto a patch of snow near the edge of a cliff and was silent. The melting snow began to soak her clothing but she paid no attention to it, instead taking in the sights and the sounds. She searched, knowing something was amiss among the jumble of information before her, and it wasn't long before she spotted it.

((there are rules?))

Ramza stood at the cliffs, it was cold, very cold, he warmed his hands with a fire spell, he looked at his commander, "so where now sir?" he asked curiously, wondering where the man from before had went, it didn't matter though, less dead weight he figured.

"There are deep caverns, inside the cliffs." he pulled his cloak around him as the icy wind bit deep. "Our first objective is to get inside the caves. The energy fluctuating from inside is colossal."

Ishara watched the two men enter the domain of the mountains with a steady eye. It wasn't often that people traveled to Avernon, even stranger was a group, no matter the size, coming to the icy mountains. Unable to stand the cold any longer, Ishara stood up and prepared to go back into the headquarters.

Ramza covered himself with his coat and walked next to the commander, "do you feel that? we're being watched captain" he informed, "what should we do?"

Seras settled lightly on Asher's shoulder. Against the snow she blended perfectly; they however stuck out like a sore thumb. "There's no help for it, they are always watching. Besides the key is inside the caves. No matter what, we have to obtain it." The inside of the cliff was slightly warmer, sheltered from the blinding storm they could move more quickly. Hopefully, they could find it in these immense caverns. "Everyone, quiet." Asher whispered to his men but his voice echoed from many directions as if a group was calling out in imitation. He pointed up silently and as their gazes followed they saw huge icicles hanging precariously from the ceiling. Any abrupt noises could cause the icy spears to fall and impale them. There was a reason her majesty Serenity had chosen spellcasters to make this journey. Magic could be performed silently and would not attract attention. In the mountains voices or the sounds of combat... such as swords and other weaponry could carry far away. At least if only the Harbringers knew then they could possibly get out with minimal notice.

Ramza nodded and continued to walk, he was a bit unsure of what would happen, what if they were wrong? what if the harbingers were more of a threat then they were given credit for?

They came to a giant lake Asher stooped dipping a hand into the water's and laughed quietly. Turning back to the group he whispered. "It's warm." summoning up energy he stepped lightly on top of the water, and began running; his feet made light ripples on top of the water. As they got closer the wave of energy rolled over his skin sending shivers up his spine. "the key is close!"

Once inside the mountains, Ishara made sure that the traveller's prescence hadn't gone unnoticed by her gaurds. She was thankful to know that a team had already been sent to retrieve the newcomers.

A large rock of some sort hit the surface of the water infront of Asher, breaking the silence by the lake. at the some time, nearly twenty masked figures appeared at various points around the lakes shoreline, all of who'm were armed. The ones with bows and arrows already had their weapons cocked and aimed at the strangers. They didn't fire though, as they were waiting to see what the beings would do.

Bram smiled, lifting up his hood. "Drown in storms." He intoned, and the room was quickly darkened with a black cloud. Several needlewolf hides hidden under the snow were flung into the air, sheets of razor-fur snapping like window shades as they rolled and twisted towards the intruders.

The trap was completely original, but the game was wonderful in that it always left room for adaptation, and this put people like him, who improvised even better than they learned, high on the rankings.

Ramza looked around to the others, then to Asher, "of course you brought spellcasters, warriors would never do in a setting like this" he laughed at the Harbingers, but didn't attack, he figured diplomacy might work instead, and if it didn't, he could always just kill them, "we're just here to find something that will bring us closer to curing our real selves, we mean no harm, but will use force if necessary" he warned, "we have a common goal, why do you arm yourselves against us?" he wanted to know, he was ready to cast a fire-based shield if necessary, on the water it would cause steam as well as provide protection, so they would be unable to see them. Hopefully that would help. It all depended on whether or not the Harbingers attacked or not.

The air became chilled, Asher hissed as he tried breathing and felt pain in his lungs. At the same time the springs below the mages iced over sending cold pangs into his legs. In attempts to alleviate the cold he tried conjuring a flame, however it failed miserably. He looked up at the masked warriors but found they were experiencing the same problem. "Wha-" his voice croaked out into the harsh air around him. He couldn't summon his magic, it was some sort of barrier of the like he'd never encountered before. What could have summoned up a barrier to cancel out the magic of the highest caliber available to the Elite? Looking around quickly he feared they were all in grave danger....

Ramza looked arpound to see no one answered, "why don't yo--" he suddenly felt pain, he felt as though he were being frozen, "Captain.....whats going on?" he asked, hoping Asher would have an answer, "what do we do?"
