I heard and read that Johnny Depp wasmaking a new movie called, "The Rum Dairys"! lol Sounds hott!A man with such great beauty smile xd

I do believe it's called 'The Rum Diary'--it's a novel written by Hunter S. Thompson, the same writer of Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas (but it's not a sequel to it). It talks about the adventures of the journalist Paul Kemp in Puerto Rico.
It's actually a very lovely book, and I really can't wait to see Johnny in it. I'm pleased he's doing another one of Hunter's books!

I wonder if this movie is going to be rated R. Hopefully not.
Hopefully, the book is at the bookstore, so I can read that.

Oblivion Goddess He's producing it too? Thats awesome! I wonder if this movie is going to be rated R. Hopefully not. Hopefully, the book is at the bookstore, so I can read that. Yep, I'm really excited for this movie! ^^
I really hope it isn't rated R, but there's a chance it might be in America (America seems to has stricter ratings =/)-- in the book there seems to be a lot of nudity, swearing, and drinking... ><;;
I got the book from the library-- although I've seen it a lot at Chapters/Indigo, so you'll probably be able to find it easily. =)

I got the book from the library-- although I've seen it a lot at Chapters/Indigo, so you'll probably be able to find it easily. =) Secret Window also had alot of swearing in the book. And some...questionable moments. Hopefully the Rum Diarys will be changed to take some of those parts out, but not totally ruin the meaning of the movie. All we have is a Book-A-Million down here, but I can check there.

Actor Johnny Depp is bringing Hunter S. Thompson's autobiographical novel The Rum Diary to the silver screen - seven years after he was announced as the leading man. Depp was cast to play the role of Thompson in 2000, co-starring with Nick Nolte in the tale of a journalist's adventures as he moves from New York to a San Juan newspaper in Puerto Rico. Benicio Del Toro and Josh Hartnett were also appointed to star in the movie in 2002, but the actors, including Nolte, are no longer involved in the film. The revived project will now be produced by Depp and The Departed filmmaker Graham King - who has acquired the full rights to the book. The Rum Diary will be penned and directed by Withnail And I writer Bruce Robinson, with shooting expected to begin after Depp finishes filming his current movie, Shantaram, with Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan.
I'm very pleased that this is going to be his next project, I've been anticipating this for a while! =)
