Yeah, its my art, but I didn't show much texture nor value change. But they are some of my sketches, however I don't think they are the best. These aren't too recent because I've been pretty busy lately, but I try to draw when I have some time.

I don't have sympathy for people who say their art sucks, or say it's not very good. Because if you honestly think that and continue on in that manner, you are never going to get better. And it'd be a shame, because those are half decent.

I know but I try to put sarcasm in it, because I know my art is alright, but yeah.

Mel, don't be rude. Not everyone has as much self-confidence as you do.

Aww, these are cute. I like the first one - the face looks so dainty the expression is like when a horse peers over it's stall door to watch the feed trolly roll by. wink In the second drawing (the full body horse) I was going to say to slim the legs down and watch the front hoof (off the ground - it's a lot longert then the other legs, but that's an easy mistake to make), but it seems you fixed that in the other drawings. wink

x_X people, seriously. I'm not TRYING to be rude. And I don't have a lot of self-confidence when it comes to my art, especially horse art and writings XP I just talk like I do. I'm sorry, but people posting a good picture, which they can see is better than quite a few people's, and then saying "ohhh, it's shitty"... I don't know. It seems to me is all people look for nowadays is people to say "NO, it's not shitty! It's really GOOD!".
You can get a "that's really good!" comment without saying it's crappy.

This isn't so bad. What REALLY sets me off the edge is when people post pictures they OBVIOUSLY spent HOURS on, and then say "just a doodle... nothing much..." just the get people to say "omg, THAT'S just a doodle?!" UGH I hate that >.<

I don't know, I'm just a huge fan of straightforward opinions.

It's a pet peeve of mine. Like a really big pet peeve, to hear people put their OWN art down. Because art is soul and perspective, and if you put it down, you're putting yourself down, and I can't respect that.

Like, I can say fairly that I am a damn good artist. I am damn proud of it. Sure some of my drawings come out shitty but they're MEL'S shitty drawings, so people will think they're great anyways! I can't throw a drawing, not even a doodle, forward, and say "this is crap," because I know people will not see it as crap. When I doodle in school, I can never call it a doodle because people call it amazing.

Alls I'm saying is take some pride in yourself and your soul, and boast to the world that you know you have talent.

That's right. I can play guitar. Damn good at it too. That's right, I can ride a horse and I am damn well good at it.

It's not bragging, it's self-pride, and art is the biggest expression of self-pride. If you boast a picture that is done with amazing skill of someone killing themselves, then that's either the soul of a very angry or attention-seeking person. Get what I mean?

If you're going to spend that much time drawing a HORSE, and albeit a pretty one, then it shows what kind of person you are, at times, and you should be proud of it. There's some drawings that I would NEVER show here because they're quite sad or gory, and I don't want to show that side of me.

Point of this WHOLE matter is, I hate people who put themselves down.

The end of Mel's rant. I shall not continue this case any further.

And as I was saying, Mel, not everyone has that much confidence in themselves. Some people just need to hear every once in a while that their stuff is good, that they actually are good at something.

I'm not looking to converse about this, but I will say it's not self-confidence. Because as I've said already, I myself don't have much. It's just a simple "here's my drawing". And then you'll get good remarks. Don't be like OMGZ ITS TEH GREATEST EVAR but just a simple "this is a drawing I did. Comments?"

I know I'll crit the heck out of a drawing, but then at the end I'll reassure the person that it's a good drawing.

Anyways, this is off-topic. We don't need to discuss these things here.

Those are really good! They definitely have potential. You should try to color the next few and see how that turns out...
