Shard had herself propped out on a ledge, unconcerned when riders went by. They were only Rebels. The other riders didn't knwo where their base was. That girlback there was hiding everytime one flew by. It almost made Shard laugh. Almost. Ah, but what to do? Keli was planning something, she knew. She and her top riders were always talking. Shard believed they were going to attack Shining Heights, but she didn't know enough to be sure.

Al looked around and noticed another rider on the ledge with her. Shards, I thought I was alone. She got up and started walking to where she had come up. Making sure to walk like a guy, Al reached the stairs down to the 'weyrs', one last look at the other girl and Al was down. When she reached the ground, she went to wonder the halls. Rubbing her hand through what little hair she had left, she went to the cave she had clamed as her own. It wasn't big enough for even a dragonet, so no one would kick her out of it. Ha! Like they would succeed...Oh, well. Al reached into her boot and came out with one of her throwing daggers, the other ones were hidden in various other places on her body and in her room. Taking an old piece of werriehide she had found, she left to go out.
When they had first gotten here, Al had wondered for days trying to find a hidden spot by both ground and air. When she had finaly found one, she had clamed it. It was where she practiced her skills, and where she whent to calm down. She set up the hide near a tree and steped back from it. When she was about half a dragon length away, she threw the first dagger. Immediately another flew through the air. One after the other, they hit the center mark. Al took 10 steps back and repeted the process.

Al stifend as she heard the footsteps coming near. She relaxed when the voice was that of a girls. Still cautionous, she rubbed her ahnd through her short hair. Keeping her voice low, she replied. "Heh, thanks." She reached down to her boot and drew antoher dagger. "Watch out." She warned the girl. Backing up, Al throw the dagger. Being the fifth dagger in the center, it tore the hide right down the middle. "Shards! Now where am I going to find another hide?? I sure know that Keri wont let me have one that is worth anything."

Al looked at the girl, her gray eyes seemed to swirl. "Oh, here and there." Walked ing to the split hide, Al picked up the daggers. Rplacing the two that belonged on her boot there, she kept the others in her hand. She rolled up the hide, and picked it up. Standing up, she turned around. Al passed by the girl and headed to the makeshift Weyr.

Al walked back to her room. Wonder where Devrayne has gone? I heard he went to Shining Heights, but I wonder if he made it. Entering her room, al set down on the floor and took out a bundle from uner her bed. Unwraping it, she looked at hide and pencles inside. She took a pencle out and one sheet of hide. Wraping the budle up and putting it back under her bed, she started to draw.

Shard didn't turn when she heard someone behind her. When the girl spoke up, she simply said, "Candidate. You?" She turned her head to glance at the girl, then turned back to looking outwards. She flicked her white streak out of her ice blue eyes, her face expressionless as usual.
