So I figured I should slap up one of these, since every forum in the known world has one. For those of you who don't know me (and, as of now, none of you don't know me sweatdrop ), I'm Rihga, co-creator of "Lux Nova." I'm a Japanese major at Midwest College #42, and will probably be minoring in English by the end of the semester. I enjoy writing, drawing, reading, theatre-going, anime-watching, politics, playing RPGs, DDR, and random Wii party games, and chilling with my groups of freakin' awesome friends.
My favorite bands are Nightwish, Tokyo Jihen, and L'Arc~en~Ciel, and my favorite movies are currently "Spirited Away," "Kill Bill (Vol. 1 & 2)" and "Little Miss Sunshine." I enjoy "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report," hate reality-TV, and love penguins.
Mostly though, I'm excited to be working on my very first homemade RPG.
Hooray for random, useless information!
Oh, and by the way, feel free to start new threads in this forum when you want. It's the Chatterbox, after all, so have fun with it. If the thread dies, I'll shuffle it into a Archive... once the guild gets enough gold to create an Archive, anyway. ^^

Um, right, so I guess I'll go ahead and say "hello" too. I also attend Midwest College #42, majoring in English. Before you tell me what a useless degree that is, I'd like to say that I'm not stupid, just saddistic. You see, at the moment I want to be an English teacher, because I apparently like to inflict pain upon myself. I live in the same craptacular dorm building as Rihga, and am the other co-creator of "Lux Nova."
If you'd like to say anything to me (even if it's just that I suck), please call me "Alicia" rather than my username. I have an unhealthy love for George Gordon, Lord Byron and my favorite books are That Hideous Strength (C.S. Lewis), Brave New World (Aldous Huxley), the Freedom series (Anne McCaffery), and a lot of other things that most sane people would probably hide from. I also like movies, anime, American comics (Batman, Gargoyles, X-Men), and a load of other nerdy things -- oh, we can't forget art history.
So, um...yeah. Everyone introduce themselves and say a little. biggrin

Oh, yeah, books: I read everything. Favorite: The Brothers Karamazov. Lemony Snicket and Tamora Pierce rock my world, too.

Introduction time!!!
So yeah...hello all who may not know me. The name's Eric, but I just go by "V" on gaia, so feel free to refer to me in whichever way suits you best.
Um, I'm a music composition major in the University of Missouri-Kansas City, wrapping up my junior year. I play the piano, and love to rock out on DDR, ITG, and Guitar Hero 2. I don't have much of a favorite anything...I'm too lazy to do more than have a general appreciation for things in most genres of entertainment, except for perhaps anime, in which my current favorite series is Death Note.
I'll think of more stuff if I can. As for now, you should be my friend, 'cause y'know, I'm cool like that.

Greetings and Salutations to one and all...
*Bows Politely*
As most will not know me, my name is Steven, and on Gaia, I tend to go by whatever character I happen to be playing at the time.
I spend a lot of time on the computer/working with computers....some work, some play. Work has taken me away from Gaia a lot more lately...but I still make an effort to get on regularly enough.
There is more...but I will not bore the general public with unnecessary details...if I interest you at all...just ask...and I will probably tell you.
Also...Please note...NeoXander will not be introducing himself because...well...he is me. I based my characters off my avatars in many ways and decided to use both. 3nodding

I play the piano... Ahh, a fellow Pianist and Fan of V. I was V for halloween this last year...and will continue to do so in the coming years as I see it...I love the character.
Are we a virtuoso? Still taking lessons? Play by ear? Read sheet music proficiently? Do tell.

Are we a virtuoso? Still taking lessons? Play by ear? Read sheet music proficiently? Do tell. Heh, not a virtuoso by any means, though I have been playing since I was about 7 years old, so after 14 years, I'd like to think I've got some pretty decent chops. Currently not taking any lessons since I've fulfilled my applied instrument requirement for my degree, though I have taken lessons for pretty much the entire breadth of time that I've been playing. Currently I'm trying to put more of my energy into composing. If you do a youtube search for Pavor Nocturnum, you can hear a bit of music that I was comissioned to write for that lil' movie, plus our good friend Rihga here has comissioned me to write a musical number, which I've recently completed.
Heh, and yes, I'm a huge fan of V for Vendetta, but I've been going by V for a long time before the movie came out, on account of my username "Virshatt" being awkward to say, so everybody just says/types V. 3nodding

Hello everyone. I suppose I ought to introduce myself, since I am indeed within the premisis of the introductory forum. Don't worry, I don't use -bombastic- writing all the time. Okay, so I lied. A lot of the time I do. Anyway, You can call me pretty much anything. K, Kay, Pyro, her excellency, or any other name you feel like calling me.
right, a little about myself. I love trees, pretty much everything Alicia likes, avatar (yes, I have problems...), and I thouroughly enjoy playing with the space-time continuum. Music: Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, Sarah Maclachlan (however you spell it), Sarah Brightman, Crazy 80's music, oh - the Wicked Soundtrack, Les Miserables soundtrack, um... heh... Martina mcbride.... eh - list goes on and on. movies: Mulan, Dragonheart, The Mummy (1 & 2), Gattica, eh... man, the list goes on.
Books: The Historian, Dracula, farenheit 451... ahem - the list goes on.
Er... well, that's all I've got to say. Ciao.
Oh, yes, Alicia, I'm here to remind you that Lord Byron is still in my trunk and you must claim him in three days before he officially becomes mine ^^ tee-hee.

And Eric... V... Your F**king Demon-ness, don't lie, you're a total piano virtuouso. And even if you weren't, you're egotistical enough to believe it anyway. wink Speaking of musical numbers for comedies written by me, I still have yet to actually hear that. An attack on UMKC is definitely in order, methinks.
If you wanna hear one of V's older tunes, Click Here.
Oh, by the way, my real name is Dee, but most people on Gaia just call me Rihga... or, more recently, "Ri-chan," since no one can actually spell Rihga correctly. sweatdrop So, yeah. Rihga, Ri-chan, Dee, "Hey, moderator-lady!" - they all work fine.

Tee-hee, I've made a friend. Only... I knew I'd be Dee's friend, Since she's Alicia's firend, and I'm Alicia's friend too o.o... Funny how that all works out. well, I'm working on my character. Actually, I'm not. I'm watching how money is being made. It's incredibly boring. But in 22 minutes, an alien show comes on. I love aliens. But alicia won't let me have one. she's MEAN!
razz to the FOURTH POWER!
Okay, so, two pirates walk into a bar. The third pirate ducks.
X squared minus one is sitting in the bar when X-1 and X+1 walk in. So, X squared minus one says "BLAST! FOILed again!"
oo... say his five times fast (or once, for that matter)
"I am not a fig plucker, nor a fig plucker's son, but I'll pluck figs until the fig plucker comes." Warning: Kids, TRY THIS AT HOME!
Would anyone like to know how to really tick someone off? EXCELLENT! Pyro is me (duh).
M says: O.O You...Did..NOT...Just go there... Pyro- There is relative. For example: I am here, to you I am there, but to me you are there and I am here. However, in the case of hypothetical person C, we are both there, and not here M says: Understandable Pyro- So, in reality, we are both here and there. Saying that I went THERE implies that I went here, meaning we went nowhere. M says: ... Pyro- Because we went here, and obviously you cannot GO here, unless by GO you mean go as in Peeing. If I were to pee HERE, to you I would be peeing there, either way it is utterly disgusting and a horrible example which leads us to an off-topic discussion. Back to the topic of here and there, you can think of it as a displacement problem. A baseball player can run around the bases, which is around....360 feet, if it is not, we will pretend. while the baseball player Runs from point A 360 feet, he will end up at point A again, meaning that his total displacement is zero. You can think of the example as an obscure connection to our debate whether or not I went there, or if I went here. It does not matter. If I go from here to there, there becomes here. It is as though Here is home plate, and there is home plate while on third plate. Here is point A, and by going there, I ended up here, back at point A, making my total displacement ( also known as X) zero. This is simple physics. M says: ...for god's sake...I get it...okay? Pyro- I don't think you get it M says: ...god you think to much... Pyro- ^^ now, to find the total velocity of how I ended up there, also known as here, we will need a formula, V= X/T. How long did it take? It doesn't matter, since displacement is zero, the velocity is undefined, and therefore we cannot make a vector out of this problem. Overall, you proved nothing by saying I went there. M says: Christ... Pyro- Yes? M says: -_- Pyro- I'm sorry, all questions must be submitted in a sealed envelope. M says: Never mind...forget I even typed anything...
yeah... Annoying my friends is super-fun. Man, I need a life. mm... if I had a credit card, I'd get one off of e-bay... I DO have a barnes and Noble gift card - guess I'll get books instead ^^
How is everyone today? Answer me with lengthy posts so that I'm not the only one with a novel! YAY NOVELS!.... Speaking of which... that gift card is just WAITING to be spent...
( PS - I got 18 gold for this post.... hmm.... methinks a plan hath formed..eth...)

Wow, Pyro, you win. My brain doesn't even work at those speeds anymore... I blame college, personally. It'll probably kick into hyper-gear over the summer, on one of those 5-am-chatting-with-friends binges. But until then... short posts for me, I guess.
And Akane, you're an idiot. You and tehganker are not the same height! xp
And yes, I called you Akane. Yes, I know it's a girl's name. Just like your avatar. 3nodding

So, I'd just like to take this opportunity to say that George Gordon, Lord Byron is MY dead poet. You can have Shelley or something, Pyro. No one wants Shelley.
