Noticing that there aren't any threads here about Maaya, I decided to create one:
Well to start off, Maaya Sakamoto is my favorite J-pop artist of all time. She has such a beautiful voice and the music... too great for words when acompanied with her voice. When ever I listen to any of her songs, I'm always put into a calm and serene state. As for her style, Maaya seems use many different styles: pop, folk, ballad, R&B, etc... I own almost all of her albums, and my favorite songs are Cloud 9, Bittersweet, Afternoon Repose, Vector, Yoru, Heavenly Blue, Koucha, Mahiru ga Yuki, etc...
So, now it's your turn: Tell me how you guys feel about her music.

looooove Maachan. She's one of the first singers I got into. Her voice is so soothing. I loved Shonen Alice and she's probably one of my favorite anime seiyuu. I especially liked her work with RahXephon and Escaflowne. She's cute too.

After having read this thread, I went and checked out some of her music. Wow. She's just plain awesome, and one of the best voices I've heard in a while. She's definitely going to have a permanent place in my collection now.

Homanz, I haven't been to this guild in forever x.x... but anyways...
The first song I heard by Maaya was 'DIVE'. It's one of my favourites by her. She has such a beautiful voice. Sometimes I listen to her if I can't get to sleep because her voice is just like a lullaby. This JPop-whore definitely recommends her. whee heart

Found an interesting piece of news about Maaya:
Not to long ago Maaya did a radio special titled "Shonen Alice unplugged" on various stations across Japan, and I got the opportunity to listen to it and I loved it. heart It was so good that I couldn't decide whether I liked the unplugged or original versions better. heart The song list was: *Tune the Rainbow *Daniel *Yoru *Makiba Alice! *Kingfisher Girl *Uchuu Hikoushi no Uta
Now, if you want to listen to the brodcast, maayasakamoto.net has it available for download, along with some more information on the subject.
