I'm trying to get a blouse or a skirt, but can't order from the internet. So my only option is to go to a store that's findable. I really don't know if there are any of lolita clothing sold in stores. But if they are, where can I find them?

Well that sucks. There are no thrift shops here where I'm at. And if there are, doubt my mom would take me to them.

ok....a really angry loli right now evil i just typed a LOOONG message and just deleted it all by accident evil evil evil ok lemme try to summerize what i said
It took me forever to get my mom to finnaly let me order from btssb so all you have to do is really ask with all the love in your heart and say "mom, i love this fashion and its who i am and im sorry but, i just cant change who i am and do you really want to spend money on clothing i prolly wont wear, or wont enjoy wearing?Rather then letting me be happy and feel pretty?" im sure she will then AT LEAST take you to a thrift store. You just cant lose hope and have to never give up! I didnt and now i can order OVERSEAS! (something my mom NEVER considered doing EVER until after about 2 years of my obsession >.< ) if that really doesnt work do you have any friends that can drive? (and i know how it feels to live in a place where there is nothing close and parents who never want to drive you anywhere ><) or some really good friends whos parents can take you? (the friend coming too of course blaugh ) NEVER GIVE UP!

I've tried looking in every store at the mall. I did find a lovely skirt once. But didn't have the money. When I did have money, it was gone. crying

It is unfortunately, very frustrating to find lolita in the mall, etc. I wore myself out trying to find a suitable blouse D:
Basically, I'd suggest don't go shopping looking for lolita -- you'll get frustrated that way. But if you happen to see something, snatch it up! Also, don't hesitate to pick up things that aren't quite there, then alter them slightly :]

I go to Hottopic a lot. I found a fluffy little skirt once. If I were to buy it and changed it a bit, I could of made it lolita. But of course it was too expensive for me to buy seeing that it was from Hottopic. But I'm convincing my mom to get me a skirt so I can change it up. xp

Charlotte Russe - Sells some blouses if you look really hard. They sell camisoles that could be converted into a casual loli look with the right skirt and bolero.
Target - Many lolis say there are loli esque clothing, and I can agree. I've seen a couple skirts and blouses of the sort. You just gotta look. Oh, and there are shoes at target that are absolutely divine and cute for lolita.

I saw them, and immediately thought of the RH shoes because of the strap. But [my mom refused to buy them at $24 so wait until they go on sale], I bought these:

In my opinion, they're rather comfy. ^^ But maybe my feet are just too different from the people's reviews, but it my opinion. ^^
Kohls - I just went there yesterday. There are many skirts, if you add lace and realter them a bit, are perfect. There are a couple shirts, but it was mainly the skirts I found yesterday on sale that were very lolita esque.

I would have to say that thrift stores are great places IF they are clean, organized and smell nice, otherwise you never know where the clothes came from and if they're really clean enough to wear (even after 20 washes at home) ><

Thanks guys. Now I know where to start looking. Since I don't exactly know where or if there are any thrift stores around here, I'll just have look around in Target and some other places around here.
