Welcome to your one stop shop for all things literate!
As you've probably been told, this guild strted out as a thread in The Barton OOC forum, quickly blossoming into this guild. We are proud to say that this idea, though not completely original as there are plenty of index type threads and guilds around, was Suki_Yume's idea to have a way to more easily find someone to roleplay with who is around the skill level you want them to be.
Why waste your time every day looking for partners who say they are literate, or even advanced, only to find out that they really are not even close to what they said. What about the people who don't know just how literate they really are?
I myself have been in both situations, where someone comes to me and tells me they are Literate. Sometimes I will get one paragraph with many spelling and punctuation errors, terrible grammar, and content that makes my eyes bleed. Other times I will get someone who tells me they are semi-literate, yet a sample of their writing proves they are better than me!
So... Why rate our users? It gives people an idea of where they stand, what they should work on if they want to become better writers, and how they should rate themselves in the future. It also gives people the ability to see what the user's rating is before starting up a roleplay.
That being said, please have a great time here! We will be working diligently to expand this guild as quickly as possible and get as many people registered here as wants to be. Help us all make this a success, spread the word!

Please note, we don't rate to be mean. We actually do it to help you.
If you get a lower rating than you expected, that should tell you something, not hurt your feelings. If you have a problem with your rating at ANY time, just PM me and I'll explain if nessacary.
