Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan (been wanting to get "Wide Awake" by him for a while now) Geography Club, Order of the Poison Oak, and Split Screen by Brent Hartinger The Rainbow trilogy and So Hard to Say by Alex Sanchez

I love Sarah Water's stuff, Fingersmith is possibly my favourite, but it's so hard to choose, and The Night Watch is also very, very good. I like Karen Kallmaker's stuff, for when I just want sweet, interesting romance. Also, it needs a bit of reading between the lines, but everything Oscar Wilde wrote was wonderful.
Also, I approve of this thread, I need to find more authors, I mostly just go on what they have in my library, which includes basically no sci fi or fantasy, so I'm going to start looking out some of the authors you've said Phedran

It's not exactly "literature", but Pretty Things by Sarra Manning is my favourite GLBT-related book. It covers sexuality from several different perspectives in a nice way. Mostly I just enjoyed the lack of "ho noes, coming out & harassment!" angst that's present in so many books for & about gay youth.

Definitly "Keeping You A Secret", by Julie Anne Peters. It's SUCH a good book. I understand where the main character is coming from and everything. It's basically about a girl who 'thinks' she straight. She has the perfect boyfriend, friends, and a family. But then a new girl comes to the school and she instantly likes her. And it's all about them getting to know each other and them having a relationship and the impact of it all on the people around her.

Beautifully Intended I can't pick one favorite, so here's the list: Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan (been wanting to get "Wide Awake" by him for a while now) Geography Club, Order of the Poison Oak, and Split Screen by Brent Hartinger The Rainbow trilogy and So Hard to Say by Alex Sanchez You beat me to the punch sad Although, I've never read Order of the Poison Oak or Split Screen. I read this book about lesbian basketball players a while ago, but I don't remember what it's called. it was amazing nonetheless.

Mine would have to be:
Keeping you a secret~ its a very good book about a girl who realizes she's a lesbian, and her and her girlfriend are going through tough times.
Rainbow Boys/ High~ i'm sure everyone knows these.
Luna~ which is about a girl and her transgender brother.
I recommend all of these, they are my favorite heart

Mm, can't say I've read a whole lot. But my most recent novel was Running with Scissors, Memoirs from Augusten Burroughs, which had plenty of homosexual innuendos. So, I enjoyed it much. Mostly because it was so crazy and disturbing. ^^
