I already know where to get Flamberge. It's in Mt. Zaleho after you finish the Mieu Fire 2 sidequest when you light the path on the right. I also know you can get the Vorpal Sword in Mt. Roneal but I don't know WHERE in the Roneal region (Hey, it takes up half of Sylvana). Can anyone tell me where?

Taken from Aileron's Extras Guide in GameFAQS:
"Head to the Passage Ring in Mt. Roneal. From here head South to a room with a save point. Go to the other room that has two paths and turn left (you will go back here to take the other one). Follow the path until you go out to the world map (make sure you use Mieu Fire on the snow before going out). On the world map, head Northwest and look for an entrance to the other side of Mt. Roneal. From here, cross the small bridge and head left. As you move to the left, the ice will suddenly break. Walk on the frozen river and go right to pick up the Vorpal Sword."

||Never found Flameberge. Dx I found the vorpal sword while randomly exploring out of boredom though. ^^;||

Taken from the same Extras Guide in GameFAQs...
"Before doing this subevent, you must save Shiba (refer to the Saving Shiba subevent) and obtain Mieu Wing. Enter Kethelburg and head to the left side of the hotel. Go to the shed which has the treasure chest(if it's not there, go to the plaza and use Mieu Attack on the right Snowball Machine) and talk to Shiba. Shiba's dog has the Ice Seed which is dangerous if it grows. You will automatically go to Zaleho Volcano to see Luke throwing the seed into the volcano.
Go to the path where the Fyr Bronk spat fireballs at you and walk
on the frozen lava. Head North and enter the new path. From here, follow the
path until you see an event where Mieu gets Mieu Fire 2.
Test the new Mieu Fire on the two flamerods near you. One of them leads to a room with a treasure chest and the Flamberge."
There we go.
And also, I agree that they're glowing is awesomeness incarnate. Although, it would have been cooler to see that awesomeness outside battles. The Vorpal Sword has a habit of transforming to funny looking dots during the story scenes...

Vorpal Sword is in Mt Roneal indeed. Vorpal Sword is located in the second Roneal Mountain. You have to go into the ice, where you can hear your feet tapping >_< click on the blue light. You obtained Vorpal Sword.
Vorpal Sword is stronger than Flamberge sad It took me an hour to find Flamberge lol.

I found the Flameberge while randomly wandering around Mt. Zaleho. And then, I was all happy because I had a sword that was owned by Kratos in Symphonia. xD (*is a Kratos fangirl*)
Though it took me a lot longer to find the Vorpal sword.

Yeah I just found Flamberge because I was just wandering around Mt. Zaleho. blaugh Then it occured to me there must be a Vorpal Sword so I started going all whacko and stuff.

Though it took me a lot longer to find the Vorpal sword. Lol yeah I am a Kratos fan too. He is my favorite Tales of Series character. I was happy to hear that the Flamberge was in this game. Flamberge took me longer to find than Vorpal Sword. I found Vorpal Sword so fast.

I got both the swords, I wonder if you can combine 'em into the Eternal sword.
