Operation Alchemy Captain

I totally don't mean to sound stupid... this must seem like such a simple question, but I am in quite the dilemma.
The first time I saw numbers, it was like 64,33,090. In America, it would be 6,433,090. I figured it was a typo, and I laughed at them because they made a typo.
Little did I learn that was not the case. It's like that for everything.
I am totally lost. I don't know what a crore is or anything. I don't know why they do these sort of things. I think they're out to get me because they want me to be confused. crying
... can someone help me?

I think they're out to get me because they want me to be confused. crying ... can someone help me? maybe i can help you..or maybe i am entirely wrong..but here r my thoughts on this... 1 00 000= one hundred thousand (dollars) 1 000 000= one million (dollars) 1 00 000= one lach ( rupees) 1 000 000= 10 00 000= ten lack ( rupees) so this is the only thin i understand..hope it helps biggrin

But why is it lach and then lack? Is lach for singular and lack for plural or something?
