On the Eastern outskirts of this vast forest a man lays sleeping by a dying fire.
Hnnmm...........
The man opens his left eye and notices that it is morning
Hmm, what......... oh man morning already. Well i better pack up then.
The man gets up and smothers the remains of his fire. He then reaches down to the left of him and picks up his two weapons, katanas, he straps their sheaths to his back in an X formation. All the while looking into The Great Forest, peering into the dark trees and how closely grown togethor they are.
Well, better go then. Hmm.......i'll proably make it to Gellos in a day or two at the most. Whew, can't wait to see my mom again, its been so long since I first left on my journey, about three years now, yep that sounds about right. Three years, three long years.
The man starts walking towards the forest, dissappearing into the shadows that the massive trees cast over their land, all that is seen of the man is the low dim glow his shard hanging around his neck on a silver chain.
Hmmmm, it didn't look this dark from the outside.
As the man dips his head down to avoid hitting it on a low branch

The man leaps over a fallen log and lands on the other side of the log. He then starts to talk out loud to himself.
MMmmm, sure is peacefull in here, no matter how dark it is it's quite relaxing. Trouble is, now that i'm in here I can't tell if it's light or dark outside. Oh well guess i'll just set camp when i get tired, in the meantime I think i'll humm a little tune of my people.
The man closes his eyes for a second, almost like he's remembering his childhood. He then opens his eyes and the soft melody of a relaxing, gentle tune can be heard from within the depths of the great forest.

Alright I can see the outside of the forest, it's only a days walk now.
The man steps into the sunlight as he exits the great forest. The beams of sunlight highlighting his light blue hair, his fire red eyes catching the suns rays, making them look vibarant and full of life.
Whew..... have seen the sun in a day. It's pretty depressing in that forest, but yet it's calm and relaxing.
The man starts walking again towards Gellos continuing his journey.......

Slowly she walked through the forest listening to the leaves rustle. Her tail flipped curiously beneath her jacket as she made her way through the woods cautiously, stalking her next meal as she went. Bird fluttered overhead as she walked, staring at her as she waited for one to land nearby. Frowning as they flew away she settled down next to a tree and patiently waited for the next opportunity

Glaring as all the animals around her fluttered away she climbed to her feet and leaped into the branches of the tree, jumping through the branches from tree to tree heading for the north

The man looks back at the forest as he's walking away.
Huh?! Is that a person jumping in the trees?! Hmmm, I wonder if their friendly?

Returning to the woods she frowned as she realized there still wasn't anything worth catching until she saw the man standing in the midst of the trees. Leaping into the branches she tried to hide as best she could as she made her way to him, watching him for a few moments before calling down to him
Isn't it a bit dangerous to travel alone? Someone might get the impression you're unarmed or helpless
Ekko's purrs fulled the tree she'd taken over as her tail flicked calmly back and forth

Interesting, it felt like I wasn't alone in the forest and i guess i wasn't. The man says with a slight grin. So, whats your name. Mines, Kasurugi Otohima. Just to keep it short though my friends call me Suru........Come on down from the trees I won't attack i'm quite friendly unless provoked. Kasurugi walks a little closer to the tree where he sees the pair of eyes. He then raises his hand slightly and creates a small flame with a soft glow to light up his surroundings.Sorry, I had to see who I was talking to. He says with a simple grin on his face.

Ekko smiled and lightly jumped from the branches, clutching her hat as she fell through the air. She didn't wish to scare the stranger off with her funny ears should it come off
Suru... easy enough to remember. I'm Ekko
Staring at the flame she smiled, resisting the urge to swat at it with her hands. Stuffing her hands in her pockets to keep from playing with it she leaned against the tree watching the man
So why does a man such as yourself wish to travel alone so far from anywhere?

*I stand at the edge of the towering tree's of the Great Forest. I look back slowly at the West, the voice of my Sensai ringing in my ears the whole time* 'If you never look back Hikari, there will be no shame...no regret....' *I jerk my head forward, staring straight ahead at the dark forest looming in front of me. I take a step, slowly and place my feet softly on the forest floor. The leaves crackle beneath my feet and I cringe at the noise. I take my foot back quickly and slowly stare upwards, my eye catching a relatively low hanging branch. I smile and jump up towards it, grasping it with my hands firmly as I swing forward and backward..landing on it with ninja like agility and precision. I look down at an amulet swinging from my chest and grab it...bringing it up to my face. The shard, attached to a silver necklace, glows an intense light blue as I stare deep into it.* I will not fail you, Sensai *I jump forward, planting my feet on the side of a tree and pounce off of it, landing the same way on another tree trunk. I pounce off it as well and continue traveling in this fashion, gaining speed and momentum along the way.....Finally I come to a small clearing and hurl my self forward, landing on the soft earth without a sound. I turn around and see a bright light hidden in the midst of a trees.* People live here? I couldn't imagine why. *I dash forward towards the light, dodging trees as I move from right to left at blinding speeds. Just before I get to the bright ball of flame, I jump up into a tree, the leaves rustling slightly as I land on a branch quietly, hiding in the it's dense foliage. I make a small peephole and see a woman standing next to a tree, peering up into as if interested in it. I too glance up at the tree and find the source of the bright flame. I whisper to myself as I stare at his face, trying to get a good look at him.* So I'm not the only one with these...special powers. *I continue to stand there, listening to their conversation in total silence.*................*A few moment's later. I grow bored and jump down next to the myserious girl. I look up into the tree and stare at the man for a moment. Then, suddenly, I take-off southward to the Arctic Tundra, bouncing off the trunks of trees and leaving small patches of ice wherever my feet land*

Reaching out she touched the twinge of ice on the tree, a slight grin on her face as she did
So there are others with the abilities of ice... And here I thought I was alone with this power
Suddenly Ekko's head grew light as she wilted to her knees, sinking her teeth into her bottom lip harshly as her stomach growled loudly. She'd forgotten she'd come out here hunting for food and would be too tired to catch anything at this rate, not that there was anything worth catching around here. Her tail twitched with annoyance beneath her long coat as she grumbled to herself
Just perfect, probably won't even make it back to the temple now

Right before Kasurugi can say anything else the strange man jumps into the trees leaving a small patch of ice where he once was standing. Kasurugi turns his head and looks at Ekko.Huh?! that was weird don't you think? Kasurugi hears the loud low grumble of Ekko's stomachHmm I take it your hungry? Well lets see what I have with me. Kasurugi reaches into his satchel attached to his belt. He rummages around until he pulls out a large hunk of bread. He breaks it in half taking a piece for himself and offering the other to Ekko. Here you go, it's not much but it'll give you some strength back.

*Once again, I stand teetering on the sourthern edge of the Great Forest, this time a little less intimidated by it's deep and dark depths. I forge onward confidently as look from side to side as if enjoying the non-existant view. Feeling a little happier than before, I jump up, once again, into the trees and begin bouncing off of the sides of them. Moving surprisingly fast, it takes me no time to reach the northern edge. I reach the last tree on the edge and pounce off of it with great force, landing just outside it's gloomy denseness. I reach into my bag and pull out a scroll and unroll it to reveal a map. I look at the map, then my surroundings, then at the map again, trying to decipher my postion. Finally I roll up the parchment and continue heading North to the Ruined Druid Temple.*

Taking the chunk of bread she sniffed at it. It wasn't meat but it would do just fine. Sinking her teeth into it she purred loudly, almost forgetting to thank the man
I'm sorry, it was rude of me not to thank you for this. I really should have just caught something on my own so you'd have more later
Ekko's cheeks glowed red beneath the dark shadow of her hat as she sat there, tearing off another chunk of bread. Suddenly her ears began to itch horribly, the sheer annoyance almost enough for her to forget she was in the presence of a stranger and throw her hat off. Pulling it down a little tighter she turned a deeper shade of crimson and began sniffing the air
I think that boy is passing through the woods again, someone's here

Knieght stood at the edge of the forest, staring into the dim trees as he began to make his way forward cautiously. He'd been lost for the past week and knew if he got lost in here it was the end of him. He'd probably be found in a few months, maybe a year in a not so nice state of being. Suddenly his foot snagged on a dead root, dropping him to the ground hard Ouch, that was stupid
