I shall capture your dreams, he whispered.
I have quite a few favorite authors, so I thought we should start one of these threads as well. :] Mine include:
Poppy Z. Brite Christopher Rice Jim Grimsley NancyKay Shapiro
And I'm sure the list will get longer. Who are your favorites?
Capture them and devour them.

GLBT::
Carol Berg Tanya Huff Elizabeth A. Lynn Katie Waitman Susan R. Matthews Orson Scott Card Ellen Kushner
THE REST::
K.J.Parker C.S.Friedman China Mieville Jeff Long Jim Butcher Neil Gaiman Robin Hobb David Eddings
This took a sad length of time to compile, because for some of the books I couldn't for the life of me recall if it was in actuality GLBT, or if I had imagined the characters shagging between the scenes.
Woe. ;__;
And, like always, there are alot missing because I.. read alot.

Jane Austin Terry Pratchett Virginia Woolf Charlotte Bronte there are lots more, they're the ones that stand out at the moment though.

Storm Constantine is my favorite author. <3
She's a fantasy writer. Her books that I've read are quite sexual and she has no problem writing about homosexuality or incest. He worlds are beautiful and her characters amazing. I just love her. <3

Well, depending on how you're defining GLBT fiction here (which is something I've been meaning to ask) then you could certainly move China and Neil onto the first list. Neil for Wanda, Hazel, Foxglove, Desire, and countless more. And China on account of most of the guys in The Iron Council.

But the slip there for me, is that I haven't yet read Iron Council or the works by Neil Gaiman with those characters yet. Working on it though!

Working on it though! I think LGBT literature is normally defined as literature with a main focus on lesbian, bisexual, gay or transexual characters, and also literature written by a LGBT author, though that means that often stuff they have written that doesn't have a focus on LGBT characters gets included.
