Winora
Despite the calm appearance of this isle few ever see it, although ships travel across the bay regularly. It is almost permanently shrouded in bad weather that no ship can penetrate. Despite this Winora remains untouched by the storms and the rest of the world. The people of Winora are suspicious of everything from the mainland and are completely self sufficient. The use of things such as technology and magic are banned within the confines of the island.
It had been suggested at one time or another that the reason for the storms were that they protected some great treasure of Winora. Few men who set sail ever even reached the land and those who survived raved like madmen about creatures and the doom they brought to all.
