Right! Onto what this whole guild is about!
In this thread you will be able to proclaim your love for any fics you might have come across that have indeed earned such endearment. Along with the title itself (most preferably as a link, so we don't have to go searching for it if ever we wanted to read it ourselves), I'd, er, appreciate it if you gave an explanation as to why you like it so much.
That said, I'm looking forward to some good recommendations!

The Architeuthis PrincipleLet me take a moment to revel in the greatness of this fic. ... Okay, I'm done. This has got to be the sweetest Snape fic I've ever read. I know.. there are some elements that aren't that great to some people (it could be categorized as Snape/Squid, it's quite short, et al), but.. I absolutely adore it. For me, novel-length fics can be quite annoying, so this is incredibly refreshing. In fact, "refreshing" pops into my mind alot when I think of this fic. It's setting is crisp and cheerful.. the author makes you get very up close and personal with a side of Snape that he does not usually reveal. That, along with the graceful whimsy that the writing itself so masterfully conveys, makes for an excellent read.

But it is a slight dark Harry fic. *if you count vampire dark >.<* What I also like about it is it's not one of those fic's where "one day draco and harry just jumped eachother in the hall b/c they JUST realized they loved eachother fic either."

Perhaps a very non-sexual sex scene (like it only shows foreplay and then it's onto another scene) would be okay.. *is nervous* I don't want anyone to get in trouble..

Beautiful World by Cinnamon Rating: PG-13/R Oh God... What a great story. Such raw power and emotion in every nook and cranny of this story. I stayed up all night reading this (I meant to go and read some stories I was recommended earlier, but.. I'd read this before, and longed to read it again ^^; ).. The author plays out Harry and Draco's relationship so well.. Seeing Harry suffer the way Cinnamon writes it.. It does more than tug at the heartstrings-- it makes you ache. I even confess that a great deal of tears were shed during the last chapter; it's just that beautiful. I mean, what a way to close a story! It's almost painfully dramatic, but in a quiet sort of way. You really have to read it to know what I mean. It would be an immense disservice to yourself if you didn't read it, I've got to say, now that you've gotten a glimpse of what it can do to you. Even if you aren't a DM/HP shipper, even if you don't like slash, hell, even if you don't really like the HP series, I beg you to read this.
