All Life has a beginning and an end. At least, that's what I thought until now.

Owner Statistics
Name: Tame Maibyo Gender: Male Age: 18 Appearance: Short messy black hair, rather ordinary brown eyes. Tame is roughly 5"10, a little on the skinny side but nothing too drastic. He tends to wear the usual uniform of an 18 year old boy namely baggy black jeans and T-shirts with a band of some description on them. He has no piercings or tattoos...as of yet. Personality: Tame is polite and cheerful, but probably spends more time listening to music when he should be studying. History: Tame led a perfectly normal life until his eighteenth birthday party when he stumbled drunkenly into street where he was hit by a passing car. He woke up a week later in the hospital to find that someone had left him a very strange looking orb. Likes: Music, cooking, playing the drums, his friends. Dislikes: Exams, Jack Daniels (the cause of his hospitalisation), upsetting people.

Accomodation
There would be picture of Tame's room but it was considered too messy for human eyes.

Entry One
The last thing Tame remembered was hearing the screech of brakes and look round just a split second too late. He had been on top of the world with just a little too much Jack Daniels inside him to dull his senses, walking home after the birthday bash his best friend had thrown for him, he hadn't wanted a party but they had surprised him, and the next moment he had been sprawled out in the middle of the road with an ambulance on its way and an over the limit driver praying for him to survive. When he regained conciousness he found himself in a hospital bed with several broken ribs, a fracture in his right arm and the mother of all headaches. The brain damage he had received should have killed him, yet he was still alive. The doctors had found it all very perplexing, but Tame himself felt too weak to worry about such things, he was alive and that was all that mattered. He eyed the room he had been put in. The usual dreary hospital decor with walls the colour of gruel and a drip attached to his arm. To his left was a small bedside table with a few cards from his friends and family and an unusual balloon in the shape of an injured teddy bear, he didn't want to know who had sent him that. However, right on the edge of the table was a small square package with a rather aged looking note attached to it. Tame had never seen anything like that before and he didn't recognise the writing, nor could he figure out what was inside it.

Entry Two
After a long an usual sleep, the kind that isn't deep enough to not be disturbed, Tame awoke thinking that the mysterious package was merely a dream he had concocted. He normally dreamed about things being out of place in his otherwise boring life and maybe this was one of them. He ventured a glance towards the bedside table, and his heart leapt to his mouth when he saw that the box was still there. There was nothing for it, he would have to look inside. With difficulty he rolled onto his side so he could reach the thing with his good arm, he felt the strain on his ribs burn through his entire body and his broken arm didn't fare much better, but after a fair amount of effort he had managed to pick the desired object up and return to his original position. He weakly pulled the string away and unwrapped the brown paper that surrounded it, whatever was inside was moving around but he dismissed that thought due to him shaking it's container. Finally the box was oped and discarded and inside was a brightly coloured ball that looked like is was made of glass or crystal but was warm to the touch. Inside there seemed to be wisps of smoke that moved around randomly like they had a life of their own as they danced around a strange symbol in the center.

Entry Three
Days passed, Tame had lost track of how many. The doctors had wanted to keep an eye on him for any signs of brain damage. He had several visits from his parents and little sister, and even some of his friends from school had come by to see how he was doing all were thrilled to find how quickly he seemed to be healing. The rest of the time had been incredibly dull, lying in bed and trying to think "healthy thoughts". At least his legs had not been injured, so he could make it to the bathroom without assistance. If it had not been for the strange orb he had been given he would probably have driven himself mad with boredom, but as it went the little thing was incredibly fascinating. He would spend hours sitting up in bed watching as the smoke inside it drifted around calmly. Sometimes it would move on it's own, and he could have sworn that he could hear little cooing noises coming from it. It seemed a rather affectionate little ball, as it never went far away from him, and even when he put it back in it's box at night it would have found it's way under his pillow by morning.

Entry Four
Finally, Tame was deemed well enough to go home, and it was about bloody time in his opinion. Although he had his fair share of bandages and his arm was neatly encased in a plaster cast, which was sure to be written on by the world and his wife. The little orb, or whatever it was came home with him too, on it's best behaviour inside the box that it came in, with the mysterious note that Tame had dismissed as a joke, there were no suce things as Goblins so why should they have a king? They arrived at his family's old house on the edge of town, it had a comfy lived in feeling about it that made up for the broken heater and the damp stains on the ceiling. He had been advised to stay at home and take it easy for a while, but that obviously didn't mean that he could neglet his studies in his mother's opinion, his exams were only in three months after all. Sighing with exhaustion he lay on his unmade bed surrounded by his old posters and photos in the bombsite that was once a perfectly nice bedroom. The little orb rattled around inside it's box so he freed it so it could roll around freely on the floor. He wasn't sure when he had started thinking of it as a living thing, but the orb had a definate personality. He was begining to think that it was rather cute.

Entry Five
Days passed and life more or less returned to normal, well as normal as life with an orb could be. On the whole Tame tried to keep the little thing a secret and whenever his parents spoted it he managed to convince them that it was some kind of gadjet like those lights that responded to sound. It was harder to explain why Mr Fluffums the (deceased) family cat had clawed its way out of his grave at the bottom of the garden seemingly unharmed. Mr Fluffums had been dead for nearly two years.

Entry Six
If cat resurrections weren't creepy enough, the orb disapeared entirely the following morning and the boy could not find it until lunchtime when it rolled in smugly and promptly shattered into a thousand pieces and the room was filled with brightly coloured smoke and glitter.
