Description Outside A relatively large, rustic inn, perched on a small hill in Tyrnat. A Large Oak tree is in the yard to the left, (Looking at the front of the inn.) an even larger weeping willow stands 30 feet to the right. The inn is two stories, one for the rooms, one for the tavern. (Think of the outside as the average building in the Nightmare Before Christmas.)
Inside
1st floor The foreboding outside appearance is quite contrary to the warm inside. The Bar is to the right, looking in, and streches 3/4 of the way down the room, the other 1/4 of the length is taken by the stairs and the doors for the kitchen. The bar extends out to about a foot from the door, leaving about A 20 by 30 foot space. This is taken up by the tables, in the middle of the room, and booths extending around the wall. The bathrooms are in the kitchen, and if cooking is going on, you will need an employee escort. (Make up an npc if you must.)
2nd floor Going up the stairs, there are 2 rooms to the left, and 3 to the right. Each room is exactly the same; 6 by 9 feet. A cot is in the middle of each room, and a toilet chute is in the far corner, divided off by a curtain. A small bedside table with an oil lamp, and a small cabinet is all that adorns each room.
Menu Drinks:Wines, beers, and ales.
Food:Soups and stews, various kinds of meat, , and breads, vegetables and fruits in the late spring, summer, and fall. (Improvise)
Rates: 1 gold pice a night. For two nights, 10 silvers a night. For a week, five silvers a night.
A sign above the bar says, "Now Hiring".

The night was winding down, and tired villagers were milling out of the bar to their homes, and weary travelers were heading to their rooms. Miakou turned to a young man, by the name of Torin, and asked him to close up shop. A quick reply of "Sure thing." and the man went back to scrubbing the counter. Miakou walked to the wall by the stairs, and grabbed his cloak, and headed to the door. He removed the spare set of keys that he kept with him, and hung them on a hook by the door, which meant, "I'm going home, and I'll be back late tomorrow." and walked out of the inn.

*Torin stod quietly, his cloak draping behind him. His feet made no sound as he walked out from behind the bar. He raised one arm, and a faint shuddering sound came up from beneathe the earthen floor fo the tavern. a faint hum arose from the ground as it buldged slightly. Torin walked towards the front door and took out a heavy metal key from within his cloak, locking the door. A creak. The floor buldged even more, breaking apart, as a hand reached up from beneath it, and then another. Four decrepit men pulled themselves from the ground. Flesh hung off their bones, and maggots and worms dropped from their faces. Torin turned towards them, and a faint whisper ecsaped his cloaked face, and the four corpses turned and began to do what it took to close up for the night. Torin bent down and touched the broken earth, which turned black, and closed itself back up. The lights went out within the tavern, and everything was quiet.*

*The lights from outside brightened as day broke over the horizon, slowly creeping into the windows of the tavern. There was no sign that anything strange had happened, but the tavern was remarkably clean. Torin had not been seen leaving the tavern the night before, yet now as the daylight filled the inside of the building, he was nowhere to be seen.*

Miakou looked up from his moment of trance, and smiled at Windstar. "Hello. I see the inn didn't try to tie you to the bed." He laughed, a warm, kindly laugh. "So, how may I help you?" He downed the last of his glass of ale, and set it down.

Windstar frowned at the innkeeper's comment, then replied, "I'm looking for a place to stay the night, maybe longer, and a meal. What are your rates?
((OOC: I REALLY need to get around to setting up a money system. I have one in mind, I just need an hour-long stretch on my computer...))

((OOC: We could use gaia gold, but not everyone would be truthful. But I honestly have 300g. Big money huh?))
"Well, for the first night it's 1 gold piece. After that it's 10 silvers. After a week, it drops to 5 silvers. In other words, pretty cheap. Would you like something to drink?" He pointed out the menu's exstensive drink list. "I could even cook breakfast, seeing as it is quite early." He smiled slightly.

((Nah, as I said, I have something in mind. I'll start setting up the post after this. After that, you can change pricing to be appropriate - It's in gold, silver, and copper pieces.))
"Just a glass of water, thanks. I'll probably be staying at least a week. It's about time I took a rest." She set her pack down on a nearby table and stretched her wings out a little bit under her cloak. It had been a long night. Long week, come to think of it. "Are baths included?"

"There are showers in the downstairs bathrooms. Heated water, too." He reached behind him to a glass, and walked over to a barrel marked 'Water'. He grabbed a coaster and set it down by her hand, along with the glass. "Might I ask your name?" he asked, taking off his coat, now that the room had warmed up, revealng his black wings, and stretched them out without shame.

"I'm Windstar Clearfeather." Opening her pouch, she counted out two gold coins and five silver ones. "I'll take a room for a week, with luck I'll be able to find and buy a home by then." She took a sip of the water gratefully.

"Homes around here do stay on the market for quite some time." He took the money, and hopped over the counter. After putting the money in the safe, he sat down on top of the bar. "If it isn't too prying, might I ask what you are doing here, in lonely Tyrnat in the dead of winter?"

Windstar grinned. "That's a reasonable question. You seem to be a magical creature yourself - " She nodded to his wings. " - so I don't mind telling you. I've been looking for the elves for years now, ever since I found out that I'm half elf. I was flying over this town, and decided it was about time I had a home base nearer where I'm going to be searching for the next few years."

"The dragons may know, but unless you want to be roasted and eaten as a mid-hiberntation snack, you shouldn't go asking yet. Once spring rolls around they tend to be a bit less imposing. The elves have all but vanished from human eyes, ears, and thoughts. There are a few rumors about elves holing out in Antithe forest, but we all know how reliable rumors are. I'm half elf too, and was raised among them, but they've long since left their old homes," he thought back, reminisced more like, to when he was with them, and to those few moments of peace in a turmultous life, "Deforestation, and such. There was a tribe of nomads in the Calith plains once, but I was a kid back then, and it's been thirty years since someone has seen them."

Windstar nodded. "Thank you for the information. I'm hoping to find them within the next few years - My Icarii parent told me that there's some sort of ceremony or rite I'm supposed to go through when I reach the elven age of adulthood."
