If you look straight out from any perch on this side of the castle, the most noticable spot is the lake. Slipping would lead to a very wet death, yet it tends to be a more popular hang out because of the wonderful view. To your right you would see spots of the Forbidden Forest starting to come into view, and to your left the Front Enterance. Looking behind you, or South, you would see other rooftops and the courtyard. If one where to try to determine what areas they where standing atop, it would read from left to right:
First and Foremost would be the very tall, very old and very steep Ravenclaw Tower. Good luck trying to scale it- You'll probably die in the process as well as have some very angry seventeen year olds poking you in the shins with books.
Next is a more or less 'normal' top, stationed above the Astronomy Classroom. It's a fairly long patch of roof, perfect for laying down on and looking out on the water, as long as you can keep your balance while laying at a 60 degree angle.
After this is another tower, surprise surprise. This time, it's not as scary as the Ravenclaw Tower's- less steep and with a larger diameter. There's also a rod atop this one. Whether it's to be used to keep your balance or to broadcast to Aliens, no one knows, but it works just as well.
After this the general knowledge of your wareabouts is a bit more hazy, just a few empty classrooms with big windows, making it easy to climb out and onto the building. There are a few roofs above rooms randomly jutting out on the fifth and sixth floor, making for lower roofs that you can climb out on and scale your way up to higher ground. Also, there are a few of those awesome stone pillerish things where it looks like squares where cut out of every other stop. Ya know, where you stand when you come out of the little hole in the ceiling isn't actually the top yet 'cause you have that wall around you still?
Yeah. Those are cool.

EDIT: The battlements!! That's what they're called.

Renee, after making sure that it wouldn't close and lock behind her, hoisted herself through an open window in the Astronomy Classroom. Gripping the wet shingles tightly she pulled herself up onto the slick roof and turned to the lake. A sudden flash of lightning illuminated the the black lake and, very briefly, the giant squid. Stretching out on the roof, she pushed aside a piece of already soaked hair and closed her eyes, letting the thunder roll over her. "Beautiful." She said, even though she had her eyes closed. She knew this landscape by heart.

Felix had ran back up to the rooftops again after meeting Nicki. He used a mostly-secret enterence to get to one of the obsolete stone battlements on the side of the building. Standing up over the side of the crenellation, Felix felt the water begining to pound on his skin yet again as he shut the trap-door-esk opening from whence he came. It felt wonderful.
The teenager leaned back against the midget wall and allowed his already damp clothes to become drenched once again. The rain poured over his face, leaving rivers to follow it and his wet hair took on the texture of silk. To say the least, he looked damn shaggable.
But that was one of the last things on Felix's mind. In fact, all thoughts began to wash away with every new drop that fell on his head. After a few minutes of simply standing there, loosing himself, the boy opened his goldenrod eyes. The color matched the streak of lightning in the sky. Shortly after the beautiful sight, a deep rumble of thunder echoed all around the school, shaking the Hufflepuff down to the very core.
Felix turned around, hopping over the walls of the medieval structure and landing gracefully on the rough shingles. Taking a moment to balance himself, he walked up to the ridge of the slippery roof, and from there out across the top.
Glancing back from side to side, he wasn't really sure what he was looking for, as his mind had washed away. However, he did see a familiar mess of red hair grace the dark shingles. Without giving it a second thought, Felix casually walked down the dangerous slope to get to the girl he knew almost nothing about.
Renee was one of the cases that made it obvious that Felix actually could be rather unique in his way of making friends. He had found Renee on the rooftops years ago, yet they hardly ever spoke more then one hundred words to one another. It turns out they where both very good at not talking when it came to the rain. They simply got lost in their own thoughts while taking comfert in the others company at the same time.
Felix sat down directly next to the girl, leaning back to lay down as well. Though Renee lay sprawled, Felix had his hands clasped over his abdomin with his legs bent just enough so that his feet could still grip to the tiling. Getting comfterble, Felix let out a content sigh, allowing himself to get absorbed in the weather.

Renee could feel the footsteps send vibrations across the roof, but she didn't bother opening her eyes. She knew exactly who it was, since only one person really joined her in enjoying the rain, on the roof. Most other people simply went down to the lake and watched the giant squid float around and hoped to see a mermaid or two. She pushed herself up, her hair sticking to the shingles behind her. When she finally got the last strand loose, she pulled her legs up and tucked then beneath her, leaning just far enough to see the lake a little closer and the squid swimming in it. She even thought she saw a glimpse of a mermaid's tail. Her normally full red hair had become fall and hung in clumps around her face as she looked out at the sky. Not once had she bothered to look at the figure next to her. She knew it was Felix. And they really didn't talk much when they were together, which was normally only during storms like this one.

As he lay there, feeling, hearing and smelling the downpour, his brain slowly started to function again.
Nicki was Toby's best friend... but she didn't know about Toby's orientation. Or at least, he assumed as much. For all he knew, she could have been covering it up... But that didn't seem very likely. And also, for all he new, she could only think of Toby as a best friend and he didn't think the same of her. He couldn't afford to be sure of himself just yet; he would need to talk to Toby. And what if he really did think of Nicki as his best friend but didn't want to tell her? Did he really have a right to make him do it? No.
When Toby came out to Felix, Felix probably didn't react in the best way. He told Toby his secret was safe, but didn't really do anything else. And why had he repeated himself over and over again? Why didn't he say something like 'Holy s**t, you are? I never would have guessed! Sweet!'? Because Felix had been surrounded by people who flaunted their sexuality as part of their every day lives. That was true, and yet he knew the seriousness of decided to open up in that way. People all throughout history had been killed because of their preferences, especially because of that particular one. So, Felix's reaction was due to a mix of those, as well as what he knew of Toby. Though, now he realized that he probably hadn't done a very good job of really 'being there' for the boy, as well as the fact that his reaction probably seemed rather different from his usual antics...
Oops. But, there was nothing he could do to change the past. Instead, he could think of how he could coax Toby out of his shell some more. If Nicki really was his best friend, he definately should tell her. Though, it would probably hurt Nicki if she ever found out that an almost-stranger knew something so personal about Toby that she didn't. That's why she needed to find out soon, before.... Well, before something important happened. Most likely involving Toby. And happy things like that.

Lifting her face to the rain, Renee closed her eyes and relished in the feeling of the raindrops hitting her face. If I could live in a world with only storms, she thought, I'd be happy. In storms like this, everything that had been troubling her since the last one was just washed away. She felt completely calm and cleansed, like soaking in a lavender and rosemary scented bath, but without the rosemary and lavender. Besides, in Renee's mind, the smell of the storm was so much better than anything muggles could invent in their little laboratories or factories. She was so wrapped up in the storm that she didn't even notice when she started to slide. But she did notice she was moving after her legs dropped over the edge. She yelped in surprise and tried to push or pull herself back up, but she just couldn't get a grip on the slick shingles.

Felix was brought out of his silent trance by the yelp emitted from his companion. Felix quickly sat up an, upon seeing Renee scramble for a hold, grabbed onto her hand. He sucessfully pulled her up a short distance, but it was too much for one arm to bare. The hufflepuff's hand slipped away from the slytherine's for a split moment, but Felix leaped to the rescue. Quickly standing up and stepping forward, Felix snagged the rim of Renee's pants- though mostly just grabbed her hip- and swung her so that her back was on the roof again, a good meter away from the rooftop's edge. In order to keep himself from falling however, he had to follow her down and steady himself.
"Are you alright?" Felix's mind wasn't functioning, caught off gaurd by the sudden fast pace. But with one hand on her waist, one next to her head and his body lining up a mear 6 inches away from hers with his knee inbetween her legs, it certainly did not appear to be an inoccent site.

Everything happened so quickly Renee didn't know what to think. "I'm... alright..." She started slowly, looking up at Felix a little confused. A thank you was in order, but saying it when the other person was on top of her seemed a bit akward.

"Good." The word came out but it didn't sink in that he'd said it, so he repeated it, this time with his face dropping down a little lower. Though the truth was obvious to Toby, Felix found himself forgetting this often: He was a sixteen year old boy. And as it stood, a sixteen year old boy with a wet, voluptuous girl pinned under him. Now, if Felix was in his right mind he would have simply gotten off of her, apologized for being so rash in his saving of the dame and, after talking his way out of the awkwardness, gone back to watching the rain or just left. But, when Felix was out in nature like this, nature had a way of taking over his actions.
It was true that Felix preferred men over women, but that didn't mean he didn't know a beautiful girl when he saw it. And since he'd been having so many new feelings lately that where in that genre.. Well, the Hufflepuff wasn't doing a very good job at controlling himself.
Leaning down even farther, his hand sliding up Renee's wet camisole, Felix's hormones had every intention of snogging the unsuspecting victim on the spot.
