Okami AmaterasuBe careful... she really does bite.
Name: Okami Amaterasu (Amaterasu or Ammy for short)
Gender: Female
Appearance: A Libris with a snow-white coat, emblazoned with deep red markings. She has feathery, winglike tufts on her shoulders, wrists, and ankles. Her tailtip is black, as though it was dipped into ink. She carries her head high and has a decidedly wolflike appearance. Her body language is not like a cat's, but more like a canine's--she wags her tail when happy, raises her hackles when she is angry, and barks and howls instead of meowing.
Personality: Amaterasu acts like any Sun God would--high and mighty. She has a habit of curling up and pretending to sleep when being spoken to by someone who is trying to say something they think is important. Despite her haughtiness, she has a clear sense of right and wrong and will go out of her way to help those who are in trouble. She does not speak at all, communicating her mood and wishes through body language, barks, and growls instead. Waka often speaks for her, picking up the vibes of her emotions and translating them into a rough, usually heavily sarcastic estimation of what she is trying to say.
Powers: Amaterasu can use her ink-dipped tail as a brush, and causes various effects to occur on the things she paints on. She is still developing her power, but at the moment, she can cause sick plants to begin recovering by drawing circles around them and can sometimes make small dents or cuts in objects she draws a straight line across. Her Celestial Brush power has a lot more success when she uses it during a sunny day. On another note, her Reflector can also pack a nice wallop if she decides to swing it at you, so keep an eye on it.

UshiwakaYour local half-baked prophet.
Name: Ushiwaka (Waka for short)
Gender: Male
Appearance: A slender Libris donned in traditional Japanese garb. He wears an eagle-shaped hat on his head with two red-tipped wings flaring out on either side. He has tan fur with a red tailtip, light blue eyes, and blond hair. He moves with an airy weightlessness that can be interpreted as either graceful or prissy, and has a habit of performing extremely overexaggerated gestures to get his point across. His native language appears to be French, for he uses French phrases in his speech and occasionally lapses into the language when upset, tired, or while seeing visions.
Personality: Most people who meet with Waka describe him as stuck up. Although he usually acts at least marginally courteous to those he meets, he frequently dodges questions he doesn't want to answer, inserts subtle barbed comments into his speech, and abruptly changes the subject of the conversation when anyone begins to succeed in pointing out something that contradicts what he says. He is very secretive and quite full of himself and will go so far as walking away from a conversation rather than admitting he is wrong.
Powers: Waka has the power to catch occasional, random glimpses of the future. The frequency of visions goes way up during the full moon and nearly disappears during the week of the new moon. Depending on the nature of the visions he sees, they are one of the few things that can send his mood plummeting for hours. He never plainly describes his visions to anyone--when he chooses to disclose anything at all, it is in the form of a 'prophecy'--a few lines of riddle that only make sense after the foretold event has already occurred. He seems to take great pleasure in distributing prophecies and watching people try to figure them out.

Did you know... Amaterasu does not like baths. No, really, she hates them. She hasn't bathed in her life and is planning on keeping up the record. Complain about her smell, and she'll bite you in the butt later on.

Did you know... Amaterasu's favorite time to watch the sky is at sunrise, and Waka loves nothing more than stargazing on the night of a full moon. Despite the differences in their skygazing preferences, they are often found together at these times, quietly basking in each other's company while looking up towards the sky.

Did you know... Amaterasu will draw on you in your sleep with her tail if you tick her off. Some people hypothesize that this is why Waka always tends to nap in high, inaccessible places.

Did you know... Amaterasu and Waka often spar with each other (usually directly following a string of especially irritating comments on Waka's part). Waka has more speed and agility, but Amaterasu is vastly more powerful. Once she can catch or corner him, she can claim victory in moments.

Did you know... one of the only times you can find Waka truly angry and bitter is directly after a vision. If he didn't like what he saw, he will make his mood known by holing up in some hard-to-reach place for several hours. Bother him then and there is a good chance he will ditch his usual subtlety and attack you with vicious comments that will sting for a long time. The only one who can take his bitter edge away at these times is Amaterasu.
