I have yet to introduce him anywhere, and he isn't one of my MC's, but this is a character I need to develop anyway, so may as well write out a profile on here. It is a rougher draft than most of my (possible) future profiles, as this man was literally conceived on Monday in the back of my mum's car on the obscenely long ride to San Francisco.

Critique away, I like my work to be brutalized almost as much as I like brutalizing it. whee Chances are, I will have the burning desire to impale myself when I see this up here in the morning anyway, bearing witness to my stupidity-induced smut. But, this is too much crappy exposition!

Name: Tzakaran Klare

Age: Approximately 350 years, but he lives in a place without a sense of Earth time, as the place is lacking a solar system, and thus a sun to determine time.

Race: Lorettan: A humanoid race populating the "world" of Loret, a dimensional plane put into existence by magic, and sustaining life due to magic, rather than "air", "sunlight", an atmosphere and other such inhibitions required by humans. Lorettans are defined by the superior ability to absorb and understand the workings of magic. A Lorettan's bodily constitution is characterized by a higher pain threshold--they can withstand large amounts of pain, but once the threshold is crossed, the pain is literally crippling. Additionally, all other thresholds are raised--sensations, external affects such as nictotine and caffine, etc.

Meh, but I could go on about this for much too long. I've got my world-building rant harnessed down to a table.

Appearance:
Tzakaran has a typical Lorettan body. That is, a taller and thinner form, with longer arms, legs, fingers and toes in comparison to humans, along with a body much more youthful than one his age would suggest, he appears to be in his younger twenties.

He stands at about six-foot-three, and has a slender figure, with a reasonable amount of muscle tone. His face is angular enough to seem male, but is far from hypermasculinity or "squared", it is rather, more oblong shaped. His nose is quite large in size, but thin, and straight. His mouth is wide, and his lips thick and dark red. His skin is pale and somewhat oily, which contributes to unbecoming blemishes at the times when his hygiene reaches an all-time low.

Tzakaran's eyes are small and round, with a weary sort of look to them, and colored a drab warm grey. His thin black hair is cut as a mohawk, but, lacking the patience to style, the thin line of hair running from his forhead to mid-neck is often left down, greasy and piecy against his cheek. Faithful to his laziness, Tzakaran only shaves every few days, and so whether he'll be seen with a clean shave, or shoddy stubble is unpredictable.

He often wears a black, full-body canvas uniform with grey buckles running down it's entirety, along with a pair of large black goggles and a pair of leather boots that are sturdy, yet mobile. During more relaxed periods, he wears the same outfit, but it may or may not hang loose about him.

Occupation: Tzakaran is a sort of "Jack-of-all-trades," however, he specializes in subversive and/or illegal activity. He will accept almost any job issued to him, regardless of risk, and has no qualms with doing a job that is counter-intuitive to a previous job he took.

Personality: Tzakaran is focused and strategic, rarely acting without first assessing the situation he is entering, and making a judgment about what would be the best way to achieve his goal. This is reflective both in and out of his business; his pace is slow, but sure. When rushed he is likely to fail, but when allowed to move at his own meticulous pace, he is expert and efficient. His demeanor is quite apathetic. He is neither easily fazed nor easily entertained, and rarely enjoys himself, yet does not seem to miss leisure time. He doesn't speak much, usually only pertaining to business, with the belief that action is more important than anything anyone could say. He has few companions, mostly business contacts, but is content with being solitary for the main part of his time.

Naturally, his social skills are underdeveloped, however he can pass without drawing too much attention, so long as he is not required to interact for extended periods of time. He is an awful conversationalist, and fails miserably at small talk. His manners are nothing unsightly, as such is likely to draw attention to himself, and his major goal is to be invisible.

When Tzakaran interacts with others, he is often somewhat crude. On the rare occassion he is shaken out of his apathy, his emotions tend to be banal and as rough as his other social skills. His sense of humor is harsh, but lacking in wit. It is safe to say that Tzakaran is alone not only due to his own wants, but also the wants of others. Few find him even tolerable to be around, due to his roughness and his constant aloofness.

Tzakaran is not strikingly sharp, but neither is he unintelligent. Rather, his other talents dwarf his slightly above-average intellect. He is shrewd enough, but his intelligence is nothing to count on in a tight spot.

History: (To be further-reworked on later dates.)Tzakaran was the first son of the Klare family. However, his family had already adopted Dejen, whom was both smart and talented. To make matters worse, Tzakaran's mastery of magic was unimpressive. With the realization at an early age that he could neither rely on his intellect or magic ability, Tzakaran took up the only remaining option in a time of war--physical strength.

His childhood was otherwise quite average. His relationship with Dejen was typical and tolerable, and he was neither a beautiful person or a reject of society. He was average in every sense of the word. Even his physical abilities were not exceptional. Rather, Tzakaran was successful through his own will to work. Finding he did not put on muscle easily, he worked as hard as he could and bacame as strong as possible, but also considered options that did not rely solely on brawn, but rather skill. He learned to operate various weapons, and found himself to have reasonable aim. He perfected stealth, in order to learn to be invisible.

And, as someone trained as such, it only made sense Tzakaran enrolled himself in the military of Loret. Though Tzakaran may have been introverted and not particularly emotional, the change within him after he emerged was striking. He became almost completely desensitized to human plight, and took an unflinchingly neutral stance on all issues.

In such a subjective environment as war-torn countries, Tzakaran became isolated from his fellow Lorettans through mind, rather than body, but lacked the attachment to care. He became estranged from his family when Dejen took up becoming the general of the Lorettan army, and while this did manage to bear some sting, Tzakaran did not compromise himself, and has currently taken up work that opposes the aims of his own brother.

O.o

Kinda creepy. I'd like a little more depth to his personality; not just how he interacts with others, but what he thinks of himself, etc. For someone who's not an MC, though, it's not essential.
