This is another one of those thrash metal bands that I know very little about. I know the came from Brazil, and I know their original singer went left and started soulfly and that's it. Discuss them here and since I haven't heard much by them recommend an album or two please.

Beneath The Remains is one of the greatest thrash albums of all times. Intense, aggressive with razor sharp riff after riff. Perfect production that highlights the intensity without detracting from it and suited vocals by Cavalera. ******** awesome.

I didn't think Sepultura was thrash, I've always heard them described as Death...
According to Metal Archives:
Death/Thrash Metal (early), Groove/Hardcore (later)

I thought they were too soft for Death, but that seemed the best name...

the death might have something to do with the vocal style it isn't ordinary thrash vocals but other than that I don't see any death in them.

Their first three album are Death/Thrash and the next few are just thrash then they started going more towards metalcore.

I've never viewed Sepultura as Death Metal. Ever.
I do love their cover of Orgasmatron, though. They are an all around great band.
