Pretty Generic but i still like them.
Only generic because there have been many imitators. When they first came about their music was quite different at the time. One of the first "extreme" thrash bands.
Anyways Kreator are my favourite thrash band. They have released many quality releases, I don't give a ******** what a lot of people say. Everything up to and including
Coma of Souls is brilliant. Sure after that they lost their way a bit, but
Cause for Conflict was solid and even though they aren't thrash metal greats both
Violent Revolution and
Enemy of God have their moments.
But their earlier stuff is where it's at.
Coma of Souls is easily one of the greatest albums of all time and quite possibly my favourite thrash album of all time (
Eternal Nightmare and
Darkness Descends give it competition). Pure bliss, technical and melodic riffs that still totally rape everything in site. Songs that flow and are memorable and solos galour. ******** great guitar work. Mille Petrozza is the best thrash guitarist of all time. Frantic and chaotic riffing combined with a great ear for melody and nice lead work. The whole album is perfect. Everything just meshes to totally kick a**. Great ******** s**t. One of the albums that is gauranteed to make me headbang.
