Nicknamed "Gruumar" by Rialis townsfolk, after a mythical creature with a vaguely similar appearance.

Age:
Unknown

Profile: (P)
Height: Approx. 9 feet.
Weight: Unknown.
Eyes: Bright green, faceted.
Hide: An unknown, super-tough, shaggy material.

Character Class:
Wild Chaos Demon / NPC

Description: (P)
Having no head to speak of on top of its shoulders, its faceted green eyes peer out from what can only be described as its chest. Its hide a mixture of dark shades of green and brown, the texture of which appears not unlike that of moss. It's almost humanoid in form with arms and legs of equal length. Most reported sightings describe it walking upright, towering above any man, though it has also been seen walking on all fours.

Personality: (P)
Hostile. A close encounter with the demon has almost always proven fatal. It is unclear what exactly provokes the creature, in fact in rare cases it has completely ignored Terrans in very close proximity. Unfortunately, this is not true in nearly every other case.

History: (P)
First spotted on the southern tip of the western continent, in the dense jungles there, by divers from the city of Rialis, approximately 20 years after the war. It wasn't sighted again until several years later, when it was photographed near a roadside somewhere between Rialis and Sialis, confirming its existance to the general public. Since then, many enthusiasts and thrill seekers have tried to find the Demon in order to get more photographs of it, adventures that mostly ended in their untimely demise. Several Terrans have even tried hunting it down. It can only be assumed that they met a similar fate, for they were never heard from again.

Every so often more pictures of the demon surface, usually taken from a generously safe distance, and will usually appear in news papers and other news media throughout the western lands. The people of Rialis and Sialis seem to be enamored by it's existence, despite the danger.

So far, the demon has kept its distance from major cities. There have been no reports of it any closer than a few dozen miles from any city. Additionally, it seems to prefer wooded areas, not often venturing out in the open.

The military will not comment on the existance of the demon, and remains very tight-lipped on the subject.

Motivation/Goal:
Unknown, but it is clear that it's extremely dangerous to Terrans and will attack any who come near.

Weapon:
N/A

Fighting Style:
Brute force physical attacks are the mainstay of the Gruumar demon, though it also has Archaic abilities strong enough to keep any opponent on their toes. Gruumar, although slow, is amazingly dextrous; being able to bend it's appendages in any direction also gives it an advantage over faster opponents. Hidden beneath its thick hide are claws (3 on each appendage) capable of tearing flesh from bone, though more a result of sheer force than anything.

Abilities:
~ Rock Punch ~ (Roll d8: If result is a 2, 4, or 6 the attack will hit and apply -5 DEF to opponent)

By summoning a thick layer of hardened mud and rock covering its 'hands', it can increase the magnitude of it's punch by nearly double.

~ Sonic Blast ~ (Roll 2d10: only a total of 6+ is a knock down, anything above 10 also results in hearing loss)

Gruumar can loose a devastating roar on its opponent so fierce that the opponent can actually be knocked down by the blast. Temporary hearing loss is a common side effect. Omni-directional attack.

~ Demon Breath ~ (Roll 2d20. First roll result: 1-8 is dizziness, 6-15 is confusion, 13-20 is disorientation. If more than one effect applies, opponent will be effected by both. Second roll result is for success rate: result > 12 is success)

It can also release a noxious gas from it's mouth which can cause dizziness, confusion, and disorientation. Effects usually last 2-3 hours. In rarer cases, death may occur from extremely high doses.

~ Paralytic Burn ~

A paralytic blue slime can be secreted from it's 'body' area when in a defensive state. Physical contact with even a small amount of the secretion causes severe paralysis in any Terran creature, accompanied by a burning sensation. Paralysis usually occurs in the body part that comes in contact with the slime; an amount as small as a few drops will usually result in merely numbness for the duration. Effects last typically 20 minutes to 2 hours.

~ Meteor Crush ~ (Roll d100: result > 80 is a hit, > 90 is a kill. Always apply -6 DEF 5 rounds, -1 SPD 5 rounds and stun 2 rounds to self after attacking. Attack cannot be used again for 10 rounds)

Used only as a last-resort, Gruumar can launch itself hundreds of feet into the air and in seconds come crashing down on its opponent with the force of a small meteor impact. When used, the attack is almost always fatal if it hits, and can leave a good sized impact crater in it's wake. Gruumar is severely weakened as a direct result of using this attack.

Skills:
~ Accelerated Healing ~ If one does manage to penetrate or damage it's unusual hide, it will quickly grow back and heal the wound. So quickly, in fact, that you will witness it growing right before your eyes, in a matter of a few seconds to a minute depending on the severity of the wound. Even a severed limb can be regenerated in a few days time.
~ Immunity to Terra ~ Ground or "Terra" based magic or attacks have very little to no effect.
~ Immunity to Mind ~ Mind-affecting magic or attacks are useless.
~ Immunity to Poison ~ All types of terrestrial poison are useless.
