The snows of winter had melted into spring. All that water had to go somewhere, he thought with slight grimace. His hooves had been fighting a losing battle with this terrain, sinking into the mud if ever he held still long enough. The light wyrm leapt, his back hooves coming out with a hideous noise. Gods above, the first chance he got, he was going to drown himself trying to get all the mud off. Due to his rather... unique way of getting loose, instead of just staying in motion, Caru had flecks of mud all over his body, hiding the heart-shaped leaf patterns in certain places where the mud had a tendency to hit. He gave a violent shiver, sending a rain of the stuff back from whence it came.

Spring, spring, spring... The season of love. With a small snort, he started to trot, eyes watching the watery fields. At some point, the ground had filled up, and there were puddles galore from the excess. A chilly breeze still flew through the air, and, had he wanted to (which meant if he had thought it over), he would have found that flying would be wonderful at the moment. However, he hadn't. His blue eyes followed his path on the ground, sidestepping around muddy pits that could be deeper than he could stand.

True, as a love wyrm, he should adore this season more than any other. He should be basking in the warm feelings that seemed to come off others... only that he had isolated himself, in this place where very few would like to be. He didn't want them asking, prying. He didn't need more wyrms trying to make their loves adore them back. Spring...

Who needed it?

Adelina crooned happily as she trotted through the grass. The blue light wyrm loved this season, the cold has gone away and beautiful spring has finally arrived. She looked at the numerous puddles and tried not to step in them, they were very muddy and she didn't want to get her newly cleaned coat all dirty.

She looked around for a spot to lay in, not much were around that was either clean or dry. And their happen to be so many leaves around to. This was the only part she hated about spring. The leaves. Adelina had a weird phobia of leaves, she could would never touch or lay on one. If she did, the female wyrm would start screaming and shred the leaf into pieces. Very weird isn't it?
She side and began flapping her wings, if she couldn't rest on the ground she'd have to find some place higher. And possibly leafless.

Some way above the sticky scene a red shape skimmed through the fresh spring air. Amber eyes scanned for a suitable place to land. There didn't seem to be any such things nearby and her wings were getting tired. The female light wyrm sighed and resigned herself to either muddiness or serious sore muscles tomorrow. The former was annoying but better than-

Ah-ha!

Well it wasn't a place to land but it was a reason and that was good enough to remove any temptation to keep going. A wyrm of her own kind was not far ahead, struggling to keep himself from sinking to deep into the mud. Cloelia smiled to herself and, with a twitch of her wide pinions she was swooping down towards him. The little wyrm closer to ground level went unnoticed.

She came into land with a little less grace than she would have liked; the sopping ground grabbed at her hooves and tried to keep them from moving. It wasn't enough to cause a fall but she did stumble slightly.

"Humm, not one of my gossamer landings," she commented mildly as she folded her wings to her sides. "Still a wonderful day to be stuck in the mud, no? My name's Cloelia, might I ask yours?"

Asmodaus all but yelled at the mud, it was the worst if not the most hated thing about spring. And it swelled up between his hooves covered his legs and some places farther up. Leaping over another puddle he sighed there was no hope and staying clean, or even somewhere close to that. Already it seemed as though the mud was drying and it didnt feel nice having cracking mud on your fur.

He was just a tad bit tempted just to roll in the mud to prove a point of he didnt care, maybe then it would go away.
