At one point, there was just one clan in the upper reaches of a country called Adridia. Everything was good, the clan was prosperous, the land fertile, and the members healthy. That was, until the three sons of the late clan leader began to argue. Their names go down in the history of Adridia forever for it was they that seperated the clans into three different ones. There was the Sutko clan, ruled by the descendents of the eldest brother, they are the keepers of water, they work to appease the god of water and their children are oft born with strange talents and affinities related to water. The second clan was the middle brother's, the Juset clan. They are the keepers of wind, their children born with gifts related to the air. The last clan belonged to the youngest brother, the Riryu clan. They are the keepers of fire and their children developed strange gifts dealing with their element. The clans have been at war since the split, each trying to dominate the other, even though many generations have passed and the brothers are long dead. They are sworn enemies to each other.

((I guess I'll start, I was kinda hoping Kajou would join but if so, he can sign up later)) Yuzu yawned and made a face, the sun was awfully bright today. She looked up and shook her head, she didn't want to look like she'd been cooked so she got up and walked past the large stone wall that seperated the desert from land that belonged to her family. She was greeted by children who tugged at her pant leg and spoke to her all at once. She had started to speak to them when their mothers came over and pushed their heads lower as they themselves bowed and she made an impatient sound, they were always doing this just because she was from the main house. Their land was in the desert but their house bordered closely on the wind land, which was a grassy plain. She planned on sneaking over there later, first checking to make sure her father wasn't home, she poked around the old house. "Hullo?" she called, hoping to hear no answer.

((Sure, Kajou, I'll sign you up^^)) Yuzu turned red, it wasn't fun when Edrin came up from behind her like that..."Ah, well, maybe...I was just, um, going back out into the desert. Nothing important, right?" she hoped she sounded casual, it wasn't light matter, it was well-nigh treason under unspoken rules to go and visit the other clan. It would have been worse to be caught socializing with the Sutko clan, for the emnity between Riryu and Sutko ran deep, even the two brothers had disliked each other most, being eldest and youngest, they saw the world differently. But Yuzu and Ruzen had developed a sort of friendship and would sneak out to talk about life.
